What should I do after assaulting a police officer and getting bail pending trial?

Legal Risk: Article 277 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Criminal Law obstructs state functionaries from performing their duties according to law by violence or threats, and shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention, public surveillance or fine. Whoever violently attacks the people's police who perform their duties according to law shall be given a heavier punishment in accordance with the provisions of the first paragraph. Suspected of a criminal offence and detained in criminal detention, family members should promptly entrust a lawyer to help them meet and understand the objective case, apply for bail pending trial, defend their innocence or misdemeanor according to the case, and strive for a lighter sentence or suspended sentence.
