Lawyer qualification examination

China's lawyer qualification examination is a national professional examination held by the state, which takes legal professional knowledge as the examination content and allows people with certain qualifications to apply for it. It aims to test the legal professional knowledge level of the participants and select legal professionals for the lawyer industry.

The bar qualification examination is now a national judicial examination. The national judicial examination was held in March 2002. It combined the three examinations of lawyer qualification examination, first-time judge qualification examination and first-time prosecutor qualification examination, and cancelled three independent examinations that had been popular for a long time.

LL.M. and LL.M. both belong to the national academic education examination, while the judicial examination is a qualification examination, which is different from the academic education examination.
