Yes, a public lawyer refers to a lawyer who has obtained a public lawyer's practice certificate issued by the judicial administrative department and specializes in legal affairs in government functional departments, departments exercising government functions or legal aid institutions established by the government. Public lawyers enjoy the treatment of civil servants. Public lawyers include government lawyers and legal aid lawyers. The difference between public lawyers and social lawyers lies in the different service objects and service methods. Social lawyers serve a wide range of clients. Generally speaking, they are paid services. Government lawyers can only provide legal services for their own units, and may not engage in paid services for the society.
