Liu Zhilian's case review

According to China Youth Daily, in 2006, Liu Zhilian, a woman from Shexian County, Handan City, Hebei Province, was accused of poisoning a 6-year-old boy. In 2009, the Intermediate People's Court of Handan City sentenced her to a suspended death. In the same year, the case was sent back to the Hebei Provincial High Court for retrial. After Liu Zhilian finished the test, Jia Zhonghai recalled that the staff of the criminal police team told him that your wife's psychological test showed abnormal reaction, and she was seriously suspected.

On August 17, 2009, Handan Intermediate People's Court sentenced Liu Zhilian to death for intentional homicide, with a two-year suspension.

However, on February 4 of the same year, the Higher People's Court of Hebei Province revoked the criminal incidental civil judgment of Liu Zhilian by the Intermediate People's Court of Handan City on the grounds of unclear facts and insufficient evidence, and sent it back to the Intermediate People's Court of Handan City for retrial.

On July 9, 20 10, Handan Intermediate People's Court held another public hearing to hear the case. On September 29th, the court ruled that the People's Procuratorate of Handan City was allowed to withdraw the prosecution.

Because the Shexian People's Procuratorate disagrees with the decision of the Shexian People's Court not to accept the case, the returned case will not be accepted.
