Trial Regulations on Lawyer's Positions, Article 3 states:
1, first-class lawyers, second-class lawyers for senior positions, third-class lawyers for intermediate positions, fourth-class lawyers and paralegals for junior positions.
2, lawyer positions are set up: first-class lawyers, second-class lawyers, third-class lawyers, fourth-class lawyers and paralegals.
The conditions of service:?
I.? Paralegal
1, higher education (department) law graduates and secondary law school graduates of one year of apprenticeship.
2, after the examination, the initial grasp of the basic knowledge of law, understand the contents of the lawyer's business and work procedures, can complete the lawyer's business in the auxiliary work.
Two, four lawyers?
1, the master's degree in law, the second bachelor's degree, the certificate of completion of postgraduate courses.
2, higher education (department) law undergraduate traineeship for one year, higher education (department) law specialist graduates engaged in paralegal work for more than two years.
3, through the national lawyers qualification examination and assessment, obtain the qualification of lawyers, basic mastery of the basic knowledge of law and lawyers business knowledge.
4, have a certain level of policy and the ability to analyze the problem, can independently undertake simple lawyer business.
Three, third-level lawyers?
1, obtain a doctorate degree in law, through the national unified examination and assessment of the qualification of lawyers, and obtain the qualification of lawyers.
2, obtain a master's degree in law, obtain a second bachelor's degree, obtain a certificate of completion of postgraduate courses, and serve as a fourth-level lawyer for more than two years.
3. Those who have served as fourth-level lawyers for more than four years and have been assessed and have the following conditions may be employed or appointed as third-level lawyers:?
(1) a more systematic mastery of legal knowledge and lawyers business knowledge, with relatively rich practical experience;?
(2) familiar with the lawyer's business, can independently undertake various lawyer's business;?
(3) have the ability to organize and guide the work of fourth-level lawyers and their following personnel;?
(4) have an initial command of a foreign language.
Fourth, second-level lawyers?
A person who has obtained a doctorate degree in law as a third-level lawyer for more than two years, or a graduate of a higher education institution (faculty) with a bachelor's degree in law or above as a third-level lawyer for more than five years, and who, after examination, possesses the following conditions, may be appointed or designated as a second-level lawyer:?
1, with a high level of legal theory, understanding of domestic and foreign legal developments, can organize and carry out the lawyer's business research work;?
2, with systematic knowledge of lawyers' business and rich practical experience in lawyers' business;?
3, master with the work of other disciplines appropriate knowledge, can solve the lawyer's business in the difficult problems; work achievement is remarkable;?
4, with the ability to guide the work of third-level lawyers below;?
5, mastery of a foreign language.
V. First-degree lawyers?
The person who has served as a second-level lawyer for more than five years, has outstanding work performance, and, after examination, has the following conditions, may be employed or appointed as a first-level lawyer:?
1, has a high level of legal theory, the domestic and foreign legal theory has a relatively in-depth study, can put forward research topics, and organization, guidance to carry out research work, research results, enjoy a certain reputation in the legal profession;?
2, with rich practical experience in the lawyer's business, and master the knowledge of other disciplines and specialized knowledge appropriate to their own work;?
3, able to deal with the major problems and difficulties arising in the practice of law;?
4, with the ability to guide the work of the second level lawyers below;?
5. Proficiency in more than one foreign language.

1. Job duties of assistant lawyers:?
(1) Receive, organize and maintain documents and files;?
(2) dealing with letters and visits about legal issues, answering simple legal inquiries, writing simple legal documents on behalf of;?
(3) assist lawyers to investigate and collect evidence, transcribe documents, excerpt case file materials, meet with the defendant or the parties, serve documents and handle other auxiliary work.?
2, the fourth level of the lawyer's duties:?
(1) receive visits from the public, answer legal inquiries, writing legal documents on behalf of;?
(2) act as a general civil case agent or simple criminal case defender, agent to participate in litigation;?
(3) To handle general non-litigation legal affairs;?
(4) to act as a legal counselor for general authorities, small and medium-sized enterprises and institutions, organizations and citizens under the guidance of lawyers of the third level or above.?
