The longest detention time for domestic violence is 15 days. If the respondent violates the personal safety protection order and constitutes a crime, he shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law; If it does not constitute a crime, the people's court shall give it a warning and may, according to the seriousness of the case, impose a fine of not more than 1,000 yuan and detention of not more than 15 days. If the perpetrator commits domestic violence, which constitutes a violation of public security administration, he shall be given administrative penalties for public security according to law; If a crime is constituted, criminal responsibility shall be investigated according to law.
Police stations deal with domestic violence in the following ways:
1. For minor cases of domestic violence, we should follow the principle of safeguarding both the legitimate rights and interests of the victims and family unity, adhere to the principle of mediation, criticize and educate the perpetrators, inform them of their legal responsibilities and corresponding consequences, and prevent and stop the expansion of the situation;
2 in violation of the provisions of public security management, shall be punished in accordance with the "People's Republic of China (PRC) public security management punishment law";

Beating others, or intentionally hurting others' bodies, shall be detained for more than five days and less than ten days, and a fine of more than 200 yuan and less than 500 yuan shall be imposed; If the circumstances are minor, they shall be detained for not more than five days or fined not more than five hundred yuan.
Under any of the following circumstances, the offender shall be detained for more than 10 and less than 15, and fined for more than 500 yuan 1000 yuan:
