My career plan: firm belief and dream long voyage

My career plan: firm faith and sail with dreams

In fact, when it comes to career planning, everyone knows it. Developing a career plan not only helps us find a job, but also allows us to clarify our ideals and beliefs by planning our own lives. It is of great significance in guiding our future life and work and can benefit us throughout our lives. Next, I will analyze myself and my career choice from the following aspects.

1. Self-analysis

I am a relatively introverted person and like a quiet environment. My favorite thing at home is to sit on the balcony and read in the warm sunshine. Overall, I'm a quiet person. I like to think and I think I have some understanding. I like to make friends and I handle interpersonal relationships very well; I am a serious and careful person who can do all kinds of details well. But my ability to communicate with strangers is poor; at the same time, I am not good at arguing with others, which is a taboo for legal practitioners. Regarding these aspects, I will actively participate in various activities during college, work hard to correct, and strive to improve my abilities. In terms of study, my English is very poor and I lack the ability to actually use English, such as listening and speaking. This is also an aspect that employers currently have higher requirements for job applicants, so I will put more effort into this aspect. At the same time, I am a person who pursues fairness and freedom. I believe in fairness, impartiality and openness, which are the most basic requirements of society for legal workers. It was this belief that made me determined to study law and engage in legal work.

After the above analysis of my own personality, I believe that I am more qualified for legal research or the practical application of law in case trials and adjudication by judges and prosecutors, but not for those who require more expression and debating skills. Gao Litigation Lawyer. But because I prefer to engage in legal practice, relatively speaking, I prefer to engage in civil servants such as judges and prosecutors rather than legal research. The above is my rough career plan based on my own personality, interests, and abilities. However, it is impossible to conduct a comprehensive analysis of occupations only from a personal perspective. Only by conducting comprehensive research based on the social status quo and employment prospects of various occupations can we conduct a complete and comprehensive analysis of occupations.

2. Employment prospects and employment direction in the legal profession

Differences in time, examination content, and timing often lead to conflicts. In order to get more opportunities to take the civil service examination, students often travel around various provinces, artificially increasing the employment cost and difficulty of employment for graduates. So from a traditional perspective, the employment prospects of law majors are indeed worrying.

Today, when the demand for traditional legal work is rapidly expanding, some emerging legal professions are extremely short of talents, such as non-litigation lawyers. Non-litigation lawyers engage in work related to corporate restructuring and listing, which requires some professional knowledge in economics. They are well paid and do not need to pass the judicial examination. However, because my country's university legal education focuses on cultivating litigation lawyers, many undergraduate graduates do not have the professional knowledge of non-litigation lawyers and are not qualified for this profession and cannot grasp this blank spot in the job market. This is also the abnormal development of the job market caused by the unreasonable university education system. But if you can make a good career plan in college and learn some non-litigation lawyer professional knowledge on your own, you will have more choices when you graduate.

Third, career choice analysis

Based on the above analysis of individuals and society, my first choice is a judge, followed by a prosecutor, and finally a non-litigation lawyer. Although, after the above analysis, judges and prosecutors are popular professions with poor employment prospects, based on my personal personality and interests, I still make them my first choice.

The way I chose to achieve this goal is to take the postgraduate entrance examination, because as the employment situation becomes increasingly severe, graduating from an undergraduate degree is no longer a rarity more than ten years ago, and being a graduate student can also increase my leverage accordingly. Moreover, if you want to work in a middle school or even a high school in a larger city, a graduate degree is your ticket. At the same time, through postgraduate study, you can learn more about the professional knowledge of non-litigation lawyers, and have a certain ability and time to practice it, so that you can have more experience and gain more opportunities in future employment.

Through SWOT analysis, I can draw the following points:

(1) Advantages:

My advantage lies in my personal personality, which is more suitable for civil servants. Some work. These have been discussed in the previous self-analysis and will not be repeated here.

At the same time, because my father is a civil servant, he can give me some guidance and introduce me to some experience in this area, so I still have certain advantages.

(2) Weaknesses

I am not good at communicating with others, my debating skills are poor, and I am also poor at learning English. These are the working poles of modern social law.

Law has always been a popular major with a large number of applicants. Many schools have admitted students majoring in law, and many of them are candidates with high scores in the college entrance examination, especially some well-known political and judicial schools, and even the top scorers in the college entrance examination in various cities every year. These facts show that many legal professionals are talents with high development potential, and their competitiveness is bound to be greater. In addition, in recent years, various forms of legal education such as correspondence courses, TV universities, self-study examinations, evening universities, engineering universities, and vocational universities have led to the popularization of legal education and increased employment pressure in the legal profession.

In 2002, my country began to implement the unified judicial examination. If you want to engage in more traditional and common legal professions such as judges, prosecutors, and lawyers, you must pass the judicial examination and obtain passing results. And the passing rate for the judicial examination is extremely low. The national passing rate for the judicial examination was 7% in 2002, 10.18% in 2003, and 11.22% in 2004, raising the employment threshold for law school graduates.

What currently makes it difficult for graduates to find employment is not only the rising entry threshold, but also the saturation of traditional industries. According to the nature of law and the interests of most students, civil service jobs such as party and government agencies are still the first choice for law school students. Secondly, in order to obtain higher financial benefits, various enterprises and institutions are also the goals of law school students. These two employment directions account for 70% of the total demand for legal employment. At the same time, the number of employees who choose to work in the military, customs, armed police and border defense units is also increasing year by year. Under the current employment situation, these relatively stable jobs with relatively high social status are industries that practitioners of all types of professions have to enter, which invisibly further increases the employment pressure and makes the traditional industries that law majors can engage in tend to at saturation. After the implementation of the Civil Service Law, the number of civil servant applicants increased and the competition became increasingly fierce. Generally speaking, the number of applicants and the number of admissions are above 50:1, and some central government agencies can reach more than 1,000:1. Law graduates have professional advantages when applying for civil service examinations. However, due to the current system of examinations organized by the central and local governments, each province and even city and county has its own examination subjects, examination scope and examinations.

Because of taboos, I had to work harder to make up for these shortcomings during college.

(3) Opportunities

As the capital, political and cultural center of China, there are many opportunities and learning resources. Therefore, as a college student in the capital, I will make good use of these resources to grow my talents and create conditions for seizing greater opportunities.

(4) Threats

As the country’s political and cultural center, Beijing is full of opportunities and challenges. All kinds of high-level talents from all over the country gather here. Work units have higher requirements for applicants than other regions. It is very difficult to find a good job. At the same time, Minzu University of China is not a famous university, so the brand of its undergraduate degree does not add much weight to our employment. Compared with graduates from Tsinghua and Peking University, we are still at a disadvantage.

The above is some simple analysis of my own. In order to gain a deeper understanding, I conducted a detailed understanding of my preferred career judges.

The judges’ work content is: to participate in collegial panel trials or individual trial cases in accordance with the law; to review the prosecution decision whether to file a case in accordance with the law; to rule on commutation and parole in accordance with the law; to rule in accordance with the law to take pre-litigation preservation or advance execution measures; to rule in accordance with the law to take Litigation preservation measures; deciding to take compulsory measures against those who obstruct litigation in accordance with the law; resolving jurisdictional disputes between lower courts in accordance with the law; guiding the work of lower courts in accordance with the law; making judicial suggestions to relevant units in accordance with the law; handling civil disputes that do not require a court hearing; Minor criminal cases; guiding the work of the People's Mediation Committee, etc.

Of course, to become a judge, you must first pass the National Unified Judicial Examination, and then you must have solid professional knowledge. These are the two most basic points. Article 9 of the Judges Law stipulates in detail the necessary conditions for serving as a judge, of which paragraph 1 (4) stipulates: having good political and professional qualities and good conduct. Good political quality is the political foundation for judges to do their jobs well. Good professional quality means that judges must be proficient in business, familiar with trial work, and be able to correctly use legal means to solve problems in cases.

Good conduct means that judges should have good moral character, words and deeds, consciously maintain social morality, abide by professional ethics, and behave in a civilized manner. Therefore, if you want to be an excellent judge, you must have at least the following points: diligent learning ability, objective emotional ability, legal thinking ability, impartial law enforcement ability, and the ability to be honest and self-disciplined.

Through the above understanding, I realized that there is still a big gap between myself and the profession of judge. First of all, the professional knowledge has not reached such a high level, but after four years of study, I believe I can overcome this. Secondly, they have not developed good legal thinking skills.

I think I can overcome this flaw by interning in the legal department during the holidays. Finally, moral emotions have not reached the high level required by the judge's law, which requires me to gradually cultivate through continuous efforts and learning. Based on my values, I believe that in the near future, I can meet the requirements of the Judges' Law and become a good judge with professional titles. To do this, I need to develop a detailed action plan to achieve the above goals while in college.

Four. Action plan for the next three school years

Based on my weaknesses and shortcomings, I made the following plan:

(1) Actively participate in the selection of the class debate team, strive to enter it, and participate in Various debate competitions, speech contests and other activities can help you practice your reaction and expression skills and make up for your shortcomings in not being good at debating.

(2) Participate in activities organized by the class and some public welfare activities, perform actively in the activities, encourage yourself to communicate bravely with unfamiliar people, exercise your ability to communicate with others, and cultivate the spirit of teamwork.

(3) For the study of professional knowledge in the classroom, it is necessary to preview before class and review after class. During the four years of college, you must intensively read at least 10 professional books recommended by teachers.

(4) English learning should focus on listening, speaking and writing, which has practical application value. Practice an English composition and listen to listening exercises three times a week. I passed CET-4 and CET-6 before the end of last semester.

(5) Use the holidays to participate in social practice, carefully complete the practice report, and write some papers and articles based on your own feelings and experiences during the practice process for publication in core journals.

(6) I took the judicial examination in the first semester of my senior year and wanted to pass it.

The above is my comprehensive analysis of all aspects of myself and the legal industry, and I have made detailed plans. I firmly believe that as long as I work hard, complete various tasks step by step, and down-to-earth, I will be able to realize my dream. Let my dreams take me to the other side of success. I firmly believe that as long as I have firm faith, my dream can take off.
