According to the inquiry in Article 188 of the Criminal Procedure Law, if a criminal suspect voluntarily pleads guilty and agrees to the application of sentencing suggestions and procedures, he shall sign a statement of confession and punishment in the presence of the defender or the lawyer on duty, without family witness or notification.
