Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Chemical Technology (formerly Luzhou Institute of Chemical Technology) is a provincial full-time ordinary college approved by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education, and is affiliated to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology. The school was founded in 1953, and was independently upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2003. Now it is the oldest chemical vocational college in China, and it is known as "Whampoa Military Academy of Western Chemical Vocational Education" and "the cradle of high-skilled chemical talents in China".
