The main responsibilities are: to formulate the development plan of medical and health science and technology, and organize the implementation of major science and technology projects, health public welfare industry research projects, national science and technology support projects and other national medical research projects; To undertake the management of state key laboratories, engineering centers and key scientific research bases related to health industry; Organize and implement the standard research and technical evaluation of medical and health technology; To formulate policies and measures for the popularization of medical and health technology and guide their implementation; To formulate management norms, rules and regulations for high-tech health clinical trials and research and supervise their implementation; To guide and coordinate the popularization of health science knowledge; Formulate policies related to laboratory biosafety management and undertake the supervision and management of laboratory biosafety related to human health; Assist CNCA to carry out the related work of laboratory qualification accreditation in health industry; Participate in the formulation of the national medical education development plan; Organize and coordinate health professional and technical post training; Guide the training of rural doctors; Responsible for the organization and management of medical education and continuing medical education after graduation.
