Zhenhu Tower, commonly known as Shuiwei Palace Tower, is located in the south of Xiatulou Natural Village, Heshan Village, Xinmin Town, Tong 'an District, Xiamen.
Zhenhu Tower is the building of Amin Dynasty. Bowed stone pagoda. Its tower body is made of stone, and the plane of the tower is four layers, which is reduced step by step and the height is more than eight meters. The first and second layers are square, the third layer is hexagonal and the fourth layer is round. There is also a sharp strip pagoda at the top of the tower, which is gourd-shaped in the middle and inclined at the bottom corners. On the north side of the third floor, there is also a Kuixing stone relief. In front of the north side of the stone pagoda, there is a small stone pavilion at the top of the hall, which enshrines several gods.
Before the maintenance, several trees grew on the tower, which grew luxuriantly, and the roots covered the outside of the stone tower, posing a threat to the tower. Cracks appeared in many parts of the tower, several stones fell off and the top was somewhat inclined.
Zhenhu Pagoda echoes Ciyunyan Pagoda on Shifoshan Mountain in Heshan Village, with similar materials and construction characteristics. The structures are all made of stone strips, which are relatively regular. Ciyunyan Tower was built in the 11th year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty (14 13), so Zhenhu Tower should also be an Amin dynasty building.
