Study and formulate enrollment plans for higher education and secondary education in Shanhaiguan area.
To implement the laws, regulations, principles and policies related to education at higher levels, formulate the education reform and development plan of the whole city and organize its implementation. Responsible for the overall planning and coordinated management of education at all levels, formulate long-term education plans and annual plans and organize their implementation.
Responsible for promoting the balanced development of compulsory education, promoting education equity, and comprehensively managing and guiding preschool education, compulsory education, ordinary high school education, vocational education, special education, ethnic education, adult education and social forces in the county; Responsible for education supervision, evaluation and acceptance; Responsible for the county language work. Responsible for overall planning, coordination and guidance of the county education system reform.
Other responsibilities:
Fully implement quality education. Responsible for guiding moral education, intellectual education, physical education, aesthetic education, labor education, national defense education and legal education in schools of all levels and types; Overall planning, coordination and guidance of distance education and educational informatization; Guide educational research and scientific research, organize schools to undertake scientific research projects assigned by the state, province, city and county, and promote the transformation and popularization of scientific research results.
Responsible for the overall management of education funds allocated by provinces, cities and counties, participating in the formulation of education fund raising, education appropriation and education infrastructure investment policies, guiding the logistics management of their schools, and being responsible for the statistical analysis of basic education information. Responsible for the overall planning and management of talent team construction in the county education system.
