2. Zen is the road of life and the foundation of wisdom. Zen begins with silence and ends with inaction. The method and process of Zen will be the path of Zen.
3. The first practice of Zen is understanding, and the second is method.
4. If you have no understanding, but only understand the truth and look at the world from different angles, such as practicing is one thing and things in the world are another, then you will have two views, that is, the two sides are opposite. If there is an opposition in a person's mind, he can't fix it. For example, if you feel paranoid and you want to be quiet, that's called opposition. If you think that life at home, things for adults and children, social work and social entertainment are all secular methods, and then practice Buddhism, chanting and worshipping Buddha as secular methods, this is called opposition. With opposition, your heart will beat between the two. Once opposites fight, you will feel very uneasy, complicated and troublesome. You always want to find a place to rest and settle down, but these things prevent you from finding the middle road, and this middle road will not be found. So understanding is very important.
