I did a consulting internship in CUHK for a while. Although I'm not sure, I once heard from my brother that the salary of the company consultant will be linked to the project and the project bonus will be paid after the project is completed. The income of consultants in consulting companies is generally divided into three parts. The first part is the basic salary, which is paid regularly every month. There are three levels: assistant consultant, consultant and senior consultant. The second part is the project salary, which is paid according to the work on the project. The third part is the project bonus, which will be paid according to the project payment after the project is completed. Of course, there are some other incentive benefits, which are not very clear.
The prospect of consultants is still good. Every project needs a project director, consultants, business analysts and so on. The personal growth stage is basically business analyst → consultant → senior consultant → consulting director. Each step takes an average of one or two years, and the speed of promotion depends on personal strength.
