Wuhan section of Wushen Expressway (namely Wu Jia Expressway) is one of the "three circles and seven passages" in the comprehensive transportation planning outline of the "two-oriented" social construction comprehensive reform pilot zone in Wuhan city circle. Its construction will optimize the road network pattern of our city, increase the density of expressway network, effectively relieve the traffic pressure of Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao expressway, and further narrow the distance between Wuhan city circle, Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city circle and Pearl River Delta city circle and other urban agglomerations, which is of great significance to the development strategy of "overpass of the motherland" in our province and the construction of our city into a national central city.
The total length of the route of this project is about 33 kilometers, and the highway grade is two-way six-lane expressway. The design speed is 1.20km/h, the subgrade width is 34.5m, the construction period is 42 months, and the total estimated investment of the whole line is 541.400 million yuan. The project starts from Qingling Township, Hongshan District, Wuhan City, connects with the planned urban roads, enters Jiangxia District in the southwest, and intersects with the Fourth Ring Road, the Ring Expressway and the New South Ring Road in turn. The route crosses Land Rover Lake Branch and Jinshui River in the south, ends in Fasi Town, Jiangxia District, and connects with Jiayu North Section of Wushen Expressway. The whole subgrade is filled with earth and stone of about 5.968 million cubic meters, with bridges15,949.64m/17 and 57 culverts. There are 6 interchanges, 1 main toll station, 4 ramp toll stations, 1 service area, 1 monitoring management center and 1 maintenance work area.
The general supervision engineer's office is set up in this project, including two senior resident supervision engineer's offices and 1 electromechanical and housing construction supervision engineer's offices. There are 6 contract sections for the first phase of civil engineering, 2 contract sections for the second phase of pavement engineering, and about 10 contract sections for housing construction, electromechanical, traffic safety and greening engineering.
