Historically, women have been bullied as much as men. But women's rights have been ignored. Therefore, some people stand up and speak for women and fight for their rights.
In this process, more and more people pay attention to the needs of women. So, slowly, there is Women's Day.
In fact, in 1908, many women took to the streets that year to protest against the harsh working environment, unequal wages between men and women and long working hours.
You know, in those days, enterprises didn't treat workers as people.
On the capitalist side, in order to get more benefits, they oppress workers and squeeze their surplus labor value. Many workers are in pain. Finally, the women workers couldn't bear it, all went on strike and took to the streets to demand equal working conditions.
It is precisely because of this environment that the American Socialist Party proposed to establish a festival to commemorate all women. So at the end of February of the following year, they celebrated the first Women's Day.
In fact, however, Women's Day was not fixed on a certain day at the beginning.
It was not until 1922 that the second congress of proletarian women was held in Moscow. At that time, they set women's day on March 8.
Later, many socialist countries followed this Soviet festival and set Women's Day on March 8. This is true in countries like China, Russian Federation, Cuba and Viet Nam.
