He also wrote a book, Sifting Old Plays, which analyzed and evaluated hundreds of popular plays in the past and divided them into three categories: removable, desirable and modifiable. The selection criterion is "to influence people's hearts". His posthumous works include Min, Bing Nong Shuo, Jing Yi Shuo, Ci You Pian, Ji Meng Zheng Tan and Lian She Ju.
