Can a counselor ask for family information?

Counselors can't ask for family information. According to the relevant public information, psychological counselors should abide by professional ethics and laws and regulations, respect the privacy and autonomy of counselors, and must not ask or force counselors to provide personal privacy information unrelated to counseling, including family members' information.
