On the morning of April 20th, 1 Chinese white dolphin was found playing in the sea area of Sikuaishiwan, Dachangshandao Town, Changhai County, Dalian. This is the first time that Dalian has observed the remaining China White Sea in the North Yellow Sea, and many people are watching it.
Chinese white dolphins are slender, spindle-shaped and have a long and narrow beak. The newborn white dolphin is about 1 m in length, and the sexual mature individuals is 2.0-2.5 m in length, with a maximum length of 2.7 m and a weight of 200-250 kg. The dorsal fin protrudes and is located near the center, showing a backward triangle; The pectoral fin is round and muddy, with a wide base and extremely flexible movements; The caudal fin is horizontal and firm, divided into two symmetrical leaves with a notch in the middle, which is beneficial for it to swim quickly. The eyes are black and shiny, and there are 20~37 conical teeth of the same type on both sides of the upper and lower jaws (maxillary teeth =30~36; The number of mandibular teeth =24~37), and the dentition is sparse.
Why are Chinese white dolphins on the verge of extinction? Because human activities have affected their living space, the distribution depth of Chinese white dolphins is generally less than 25 meters, and the estuary with a water depth of 5-25 meters is their favorite living environment, but it overlaps with the human living environment. Sea-related projects in coastal estuaries permanently occupy the habitat of white dolphins in Xiamen Bay 120 square kilometers, and human activities have greatly affected the living space of Chinese white dolphins.
In our life, the Chinese white dolphin is just one of the endangered species. Many species are extinct or endangered. The earth is an ecological circle, and animals are in constant contact with each other. If we humans don't reach out to help them now, it's only a matter of time before all the animals on the earth are extinct, and eventually humans will disappear.
