Moderator: Which subjects have more opportunities to go abroad? Will it be more difficult to go abroad for basic subjects?
Jingsheng: In recent years, our school has established inter-school relations with 57 foreign universities and sent more than 20 students to Japan, South Korea, France, the United States and other countries. When selecting and dispatching students in our school, we all take a unified examination and choose according to the examination results, so there is no question of how many opportunities to go abroad between different disciplines. Our school carries out various forms of international exchanges and cooperation. The main contents of the project include studying abroad for one year or continuing to study for master's and doctoral degrees. All undergraduate and graduate students who meet the requirements in foreign languages, have excellent academic performance and good family economic conditions can apply. Considering that most of the students come from ethnic minority areas, when establishing the exchange program, our school proposed to waive the exchange tuition and accommodation fees for overseas students or provide scholarships for our students.
In recent years, the student exchange programs in our school mainly include: new york State University Courseburg (the other school is free of tuition and room and board); Dixon State University (double bachelor's degree), University of Lyon III, France (the other school is free of tuition); Bourgne University; Osaka University of Economics and Law, Japan (the other school is free of tuition and accommodation fees, and the other party provides round-trip international air tickets and 12 months living allowance); Shengde gakuen University in Gifu, Japan (the other school is free of tuition and accommodation fees); South Korea's Kyung Hee University ①GK program (double bachelor's degree, scholarship provided by the other school) ② Exchange program: Korea Shuming Women's University.
Moderator: What was the employment rate of undergraduates in Central University for Nationalities in 2006?
Jingsheng: Under the guidance of the relevant national employment policies, the graduates of our school implement the employment system of "two-way choice and self-employment". In recent years, the number of college graduates in China has increased rapidly, and the employment situation is grim, but the employment rate of graduates in our school has maintained a steady growth trend. The employment rate of applied majors such as School of Literature and Journalism, School of Foreign Languages, School of Dance, School of Mathematics and Computer, School of Physics and Electronic Engineering and School of Education is above 90%. Ethnology, history and other characteristic disciplines have obvious advantages, and the postgraduate entrance examination rate is high. Graduates are mainly employed in central, national and local organs, universities and research institutes, enterprises and institutions and the army. Employment industries include information and electronics, cultural communication, finance, finance, politics and law, education, sports, art and other fields.
Moderator: If freshmen feel that their major is not suitable after they arrive at school, they can change their major? Is there a specific time limit?
Jingsheng: Our school allows qualified students to change majors. In order to give our students a broader space for development, every student has the opportunity to re-choose a major after entering school. The application time for changing majors is generally arranged in the second semester of the first academic year. Students can choose a new major according to their own wishes and the needs of future work after understanding the current situation and development of various majors in the school and clarifying their interests and specialties. Changing majors should be carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations and specific procedures of the school's academic affairs office.
