Bodhi got nothing, but lost five eyes and three bodies; What do you mean by ignorance?

Bodhi Prajna (Feast Master)

Bodhi has nothing.

Bodhi got nothing and lost three bodies with five eyes.

Bodhi, the transliteration of Sanskrit Bodhi, the old translation, the new translation of enlightenment, or meaning enlightenment. There are two ways to understand things: if you are reasonable, you will break your troubles and gain a sense of wisdom, that is, you will prove nirvana, which is the third bodhi. If you are in trouble, you will break the barrier of knowledge. If you know that everything can be done, you will gain all kinds of wisdom. The only Buddha bodhi is the supreme bodhi. As far as the three-body of Buddha is concerned, it is called three-body bodhi, also known as three Buddha bodhi: 1. It should be incarnated as Buddha bodhi, 2. It should be to report Buddha bodhi, and 3. It's supposed to be Dharma Bodhi.

Bodhi means feeling, and multiplication by two also has conscious meaning, but for the Buddha's great bodhi, multiplication by two is little bodhi. Bodhi mentioned in Mahayana sutra theory refers to the great bodhi without enlightenment. From Volume 53 of Great Wisdom, there are five levels of * * *: (1) Originating from Bodhi: Ten Bodhisattvas, making great efforts for the supreme Bodhi in infinite life and death. (2) Bodhisattva: a 30-order sage bodhisattva who lives in ten places, walks in ten lines and returns to ten directions, practices paramita and calms his heart in all troubles.

(3) Mindfulness of Bodhisattvas: The Bodhisattvas above the first place, in the third world law, observe the reality and have a clear mind. (4) Go to Bodhi: There are more than eight Bodhisattvas. Among the Prajna, no Prajna can eliminate all doubts, see the ten Buddhas, transcend the three realms, and reach the Buddha's position. (5) Supreme Bodhi: The Bodhisattva sat in the Dojo and cut off all his troubles, which proved the supreme Bodhi and the Buddha's fruit was complete.

As mentioned earlier, Bodhisattva is commonly known as Mahayana, and there is also the word Bodhisattva in the Wen Sheng Sutra of Bali, but it is not as strong as Mahayana Sutra, so the bodhisattva mentioned mostly refers to the Great Bodhisattva, such as "Bodhisattva is the Pure Land of Bodhisattva". "Great Wisdom" Volume 41: "Bodhisattva's initial heart is supreme, and I am bodhicitta." "The Great Bible is sparse" says: "Bodhicitta is called seeking wisdom frequently. "Past Life Collection" written by Genshin in Japan mentioned that there are two kinds of bodhicitta: one is bodhicitta, which refers to the four-hong vows and the three-gathering net precepts; The second reason is bodhicitta, which refers to all Buddhism. Originally silent, he settled in the reality of the middle way and became a bodhisattva who wished to go up and down. This is the highest bodhicitta.

The Bodhi mentioned in Xianzong's records should have come from the supreme Bodhi mentioned in the Tanjing, but it has been lost. "From the heart, see the self", "If the heart is like this, it is true" and "it is the self-nature of the supreme bodhi". In addition, "self-sufficiency, self-sufficiency, unshakable, and self-nature produce various laws", "death without birth when leaving the country", "thinking before is trouble, thinking after is bodhi", so it is said that "worry is bodhi, thinking before is ordinary, and thinking after is Buddha." Bodhi mentioned in the altar sutra is what you see after enlightenment, and it is based on the immortal self.

How to prove the immortality of self? That is, we can't stand rashness in all circles, that is, we can break our troubles and become bodhi. "Bodhi without income" in A Record of Xian Zong also comes from "without wisdom without income" in Heart Sutra, so I got three Bodhi, which has three benefits. If you want to get the supreme bodhi fruit, you must have the supreme bodhi mind and prove that you have nothing. If you think you still have something to gain, it's still the trouble and persistence of ordinary people. You haven't proved the three advantages and three bodhi fruits of Antiero.

When I was in the earth, I really thought that there was a supreme bodhi as evidence, so it is necessary to make a great bodhi wish, cultivate a great bodhi, and the five bodhis mentioned in the theory of great wisdom; In the position of Buddha, it is proved that emptiness is true, that is, it is empty before the reality of "no wisdom and no gain" appears. Great Wisdom lists 18 kinds of emptiness, which is not only emptiness, but also emptiness.

Therefore, the empty meaning of Mahayana Zen is explained from the aspects of no mind, no phase, no residence, no income, etc. Empty does not hinder existence, and all deny existence; If the troubles are empty, there is no persistence; However, there are prajna Kong Zhi, and the merits of all Buddhas are solemn, such as the Buddha's ten directions, four fearlessness, and eighteen non-laws, so it must be said that "the three-body has lost five eyes."

"Five Eyes" is based on the incarnation of Buddha. There are five kinds of "Yi * * *": naked eye, celestial eye, discerning eye, dharma eye and Buddha eye. The first one is owned by ordinary people in the world of desire; The second is that the color world is owned by heaven and man, and it is obtained according to meditation. The latter three are all the wise eyes of natural saints, and the wise eyes are two-way saints, possessed by the reason of empty self; The dharma eye is a bodhisattva above the beginning of the earth. The wisdom gained from it shows all the Buddhist methods and is boundless. Buddha's eyes are based on all kinds of wisdom, which can prove five eyes and gain six magical powers, and should transform all beings. It can be seen that people who generally desire the world only have the naked eyes of their parents; In the early Zen days of the color world, you can have the naked eye and only use the eye of the sky; Hearing and hearing can only enter nirvana with the first three eyes; Bodhisattva on the earth can have four eyes; Only the Buddha's fruit position, five eyes is enough. Among the five eyes, the naked eye is called newspaper; There are also very few people in Tianyan who may report it. Generally speaking, it must be obtained through practice. The last three eyes must be repaired.

What does "net five eyes" mean? That is, all the functions of the five eyes are not persistent wisdom, and the five eyes are clean. Ordinary people's naked eyes are greedy for beauty and hate color, so it is not easy to clean; The eye of heaven can see infinitesimal and distant, and can also see the karma of the future, but there is still a difference between joy and disgust, so it is not clean; Anyone with a discerning eye can see that nature is empty, which proves that it is empty and clean. But I still insist on nirvana and stay away from the five elements. So only the witness is empty, and the law is not empty. Compared with Mahayana Bodhi, it is not clean. The dharma eye is a bodhisattva who has proved all dharma bodies, and it is not completely ignorant. Compared with the purity of Buddha, it is not completely pure. Only the Buddha's eyes are completely pure.

"Three-body" refers to the dharma body, the real body and the incarnation.

(a) Legal subject: that is, self-subject. Self-nature is empty, experience is empty, that is, seeing the dharma body with one's own eyes; Dharma bodies are everywhere, and all laws are inseparable from self-nature. Self-nature is emptiness, and emptiness is Buddha's dharma bodies. If you see the self-dharma Buddha, then the self-dharma Buddha and the incarnation Buddha are among them. This is the "one in one, three in self-dharma Buddha" in the Tanjing. If we can "know since the enlightenment's self-nature, we will always go my way: from the color body to the pure Dharma Buddha, from the color body to the ten billion incarnation Buddha, and from the color body to the perfect self-reported Buddha." Again, the world "is fascinated by the heart, sees the inner nature, and seeks three Tathagata from the outside." 」

(2) True body: it is the Buddha's body in Lushena, Zhang Qian, that is, the solemn body of the Buddha's merits; That is for all living beings, not for the Buddha himself. Only the great bodhisattva on the ground can see the Buddha, but we ordinary people can't. For a meditator, everything he knows and sees is not a dharma body, and everything he knows, sees and touches is not a Buddha body. Seeing emptiness, all laws and phenomena are empty, so seeing the body of the law is now; All phenomena have the function of saying, and that function is to report one's own Buddha.

(3) reincarnation: it is tens of billions of reincarnation. Everywhere, adapt to the class, adapt randomly. When you see sentient beings with different roots, you will adapt to them in different identities and help them in different forms in different situations.

Mahayana Sutra and Hinayana Sutra have different introductions to Buddha's body, which can be roughly divided into two-body theory and three-body theory.

Two-body theory is divided into Hinayana and Mahayana. As far as Hinayana is concerned, there are also two kinds: 1. The Sakyamuni nationality, that is, the body of the prince born in Sakyamuni's palace as seen by the naked eye, is called "living body"; 2. The Buddha turns his magical powers into heterogeneous bodies such as ghosts and animals, which is called "Tao into flesh". [Door] Born in the palace "life"; From abstinence, determination, wisdom, liberation and liberation, we can see the merits shown, which is called "dharma body"

For the theory of Mahayana Erti, see Volume VII of Buddhism and Land and Volume IX of Great Wisdom. The real body of reason is the dharma body, and the random body is the living body, so it is also called the real body.

There are many ways to express the three-body theory, among which Tiantai Sect and Faxiang Sect represent: (1) Tiantai Sect's three-body: 1. From "Golden Light and Ming Jing Xuan Yi": "Rational method gathers the name of dharma body, intellectual method gathers the name to report the body, and martial art gathers the name to report the body." 2. "Jin Guang Ming Jing is the best king Jing. Three-body integration: "There are three kinds of body clouds for all Tathagata. What is the third? An avatar, an avatar, an avatar. " The incarnation here is the body, collectively known as the incarnation. (2) Three-body theory of Faxiangzong: Based on the theory of enlightenment, volume 10: 1. "Self-nature refers to the equality and reality of all laws, that is, self-nature, also known as dharma body, which is based on equal benefit from change, silence in drama, infinite truth and constant merit." 2. "There are two kinds of beneficiaries: one is self-interest, that is to say, for example, you have robbed countless times, received unlimited wealth and wealth, played unlimited real merits, kept your body clean and beautiful, and continued to Zhan Ran, with a perfect future, and constantly benefited from the vast law and music. Second, he benefited, such as equal wisdom, showing subtle and pure virtue, living in pure land and ten places, showing great magical power, becoming a full member, breaking the public's doubts and benefiting from Mahayana. That is, reporting, also known as the beneficiary (reporting) body. 3. "To change a person's body is, for example, to realize the infinite incarnation of class with the wisdom of success, to live in a clean and filthy place, to be a bodhisattva before landing, and to be born different, and to call him an opportunity. Now, it is said that everyone can get all the benefits. It's about incarnating.

Three-body Buddhism is the general theory of Mahayana: according to the Mahayana Sutra, the five virtues of abstinence, determination, wisdom, liberation and liberation are the dharma bodies, and Zijin, who was born in the palace, and Dharma, who was given by thirty-two adults, are transformed into monkeys and deer elephants.

In addition, there is such a sentence in the Buddhist recitation: "Sacrifice the pure dharma body, Pilu Zena Buddha, and successfully report it to Lushena Buddha, turning hundreds of millions into Sakyamuni Buddha." "It's like a three-person Buddha, each with its own name. This is the view of Tiantai Sect. In fact, in Sanskrit, Piluzhana and Lushena are two transliteration of the same word Vairocana, both of which mean to shine. In the Huayan Sutra, they are all the titles of Buddha. Therefore, the Wreath Sutra says, "Peluzena Buddha is the beneficiary, and Sakyamuni Buddha is the incarnation. However, the King's Classic of a Thousand Bowls with a Thousand Arms says: "One is to cover the dharma body with purity, and to teach the dharma, and King Kong Samadha is a sect; Secondly, the newspaper style of Lugai (Tuo) shows the sacredness of Pu Xian's willingness to be a Sect; Thousands of Sakyamuni turned into hundreds of billions of Sakyamuni, showing the sage and wisdom, flowing out of Schumann's room and benefiting the body, making the mother the Sect. " This is Fafo, with two names and two personalities. The former is called Pilu Jinnah Buddha, and the latter is called Pilu Jinnah Buddha. Sakyamuni transformed into thousands of Sakyamuni and hundreds of millions of Sakyamuni. Tiantai Sect integrated this into three bodies and three people, which is commonly used by Buddhists in China. Master Tiantai said in Maha Meditation that "there are three different bodies". For the rest, it is unnecessary to distinguish the trinity, that is, the body of color (the Tao becomes the flesh) is liberated, the body of dharma (the body of report) is universal, and the body of reality (the body of dharma) is dharma.

As for China's Zen, it swept away all the names, because the three-body is one. Bodhi fruit is nowhere to be found, and Buddha's five eyes are nowhere to be found. Of course, there is no need to pursue the three-person Buddha. This is as the Vimalakīrti Sutra said: "Bodhi people can't get it, and they can't get it." Once and for all, thousands, otherwise as long as there is a trace of concern, it runs counter to the pure self.

Prajna ignorance

If you are ignorant, you will be lucky to have six kinds of connections and four kinds of wisdom.

Prajna (Praj? ) has the meaning of wisdom, wisdom, clarity, purity and distance.

Among the schools of Buddhism in China, there are two types, three types and five types of functional models of Prajna. (1) Two Prajnaparamita: There are also three ways to divide it:

1. The Great Wisdom (volume 100) says: (1)*** Prajna, three times * * * fellow initiates; (2) It is not * * * Prajna, but only those who are judged by Tiantai Sect as two religions and two-multiplication bodhisattvas are not * * * and two-multiplication.

2. The tenth volume of Ten Wheels of Tibetan Scriptures and the forty-third volume of Geocentric Theory of Yoga Master say that there are two kinds of bodhisattvas: (1) universal, not silent but common; (2) Being born, empty-minded, equal and silent, is different from various names.

3. The first volume of Hua Yan Jing Da Shu says: (1) Reality is universal, (2) Observation is universal. ② Three Prajna: There are two ways:

1. "Guang Jin Ming Jing Yi Yun" Volume: (1) The reality is Prajna Paramita, the ontology of Prajna Paramita, the truth of all beings, separated from all illusions; (2) Observing Prajna is the true wisdom of observing reality; (3) Convenient Prajna is the righteousness and wisdom of different laws.

2. On Seng Zhao: (1) Prajna in reality, (2) Prajna in harmony and (3) Prajna in great wisdom.

3. The Prajna Heart Sutra collected by the French: (1) The reality is Prajna, that is, the observed truth; (2) Observing Prajna, that is, observing wisdom; (3) Words are prajnaparamita, which means interpretable teaching. (3) Five kinds of Prajna: See "Long Shuizi Xuanlu Jingang Warp-Knitted Journal" Volume II: "There are different kinds of Prajna. According to the theory of quasi-great wisdom, there are three kinds: 1. Words can explain religion; 2. Observing means observing wisdom; 3. Reality is what you see. Roche later opened five kinds, and opened a home in observation, that is, companionship and warmth (the first law of the world); Open a realm of enlightenment in reality, that is, the realm of universal truth. Namely: 1. Words, 2. Observe, 3. Reality, 4. Family, 5. Five realms.

The "Prajnaparamita Ignorance" mentioned in A Record of Xian Zong originated from Seng Zhao's On Prajnaparamita Ignorance, which quoted the first volume of Prajnaparamita Sutra: "Prajnaparamita has no knowledge and sees nothing. (Case: The original text is "What is Bodhisattva Prajna Paramita? Say bodhisattva, you can't see it and you don't know where it is. " Zhao Lun also said, "Which one? If the husband knows something, he doesn't. If he is ignorant of the sacred heart, he knows everything. If he doesn't know, he means to know everything. So as the saying goes, "the sacred heart knows everything." "(this is quoted from the Four-One Sanskrit). Zhao Lun quoted the meaning of the Classic of Prajna: "As the saying goes, a truly prajna person is as pure as emptiness, ignorant, ignorant, inaction and unlucky, and then he knows that he is ignorant. 」

According to Zhao Lun, "Prajna is ignorant", but in fact, because Prajna is the pure wisdom revealed by Buddha's heart, that is, the pure wisdom and merit of transcending persistence and taking the middle way truth, it cannot be described by the theory of relativity of knowing and not knowing. Internal and external photos, internal and external silence, thorough photography and stillness are the contents of prajnaparamita ignorance.

Master Shen Huichan, the author of the Biography of Xianzong, is a disciple of Master Huineng, the sixth ancestor, and should also be influenced by the Tanjing. Dunhuang Tanjing said, "What's Prajna's name? Prajna is wisdom. For a while, you will never be stupid, you will always be wise, that is, you will be called Prajna. Thinking foolishly is prajnaparamita, thinking intellectually is born. He also said: "I learned this method from 84 thousand wisdom." Why? There are 84,000 dust workers in the world. If there is no dust and labor, prajnaparamita is always there, and it is inseparable from self. People who realize this method have no thoughts, memories and things. Don't forget who is wrong, that is, as real as nature, observe with wisdom. If you don't take it away from all laws, you will see the Buddha naturally. 」

According to the meaning of the altar sutra, if you are not stupid, you are thinking about Prajna, and if you are not stupid, you are always doing Prajna. The name Prajna Paramita was born to cure 84,000 ordinary people's troubles and pains. If there is no trouble and pain, it is a saint without thought, memory and existence. If we don't know what the self-nature of Prajna is, we can regard it as Buddha as long as we don't give up in the realm of various laws. Therefore, the function and scope of Prajna are indeed infinite; However, in the position of Buddha, Prajna is useless. In the ordinary position, Prajna's function is to teach us not to give up. It can also be said that although the Tanjing does not explicitly say that Prajna is ignorant, it tells us that Prajna is invisible, but its role is infinite.

Although Prajna is invisible and ignorant, it has the realm of observation, wisdom of observation, teaching of interpretation, and the realm of good roots and vulgar truths derived from it, so the following sentences here are "Liu Yuntong" and "Hong Si Zhi".

The so-called "six magical powers" means that Prajna has a wide range of functions and is omniscient and omnipotent, just like having vast magical powers, but this does not mean that people who are enlightened by Zen will use six magical powers. In fact, the founders of orthodox Zen Buddhism in China seldom talk about supernatural powers, and even forbid them to show them.

In fact, people who practice meditation, if they know the four methods of practicing avatar, will certainly have the ability of avatar, but they will not perform in public and regard avatar as a call to attract followers. Zen master's interest in sentient beings is based on his self-certified reality and his observation of Prajna Paramita, which is convenient to operate, prajna in speech and compassionate. It is a once-and-for-all thing to benefit all beings with prajnaparamita wisdom, which is equivalent to teaching the poor to learn technical knowledge and the ability to produce daily necessities such as food and clothing by themselves. If we use the change of supernatural powers to help all beings, we will only treat the symptoms but not the root cause, and we cannot completely solve the bitter problem. Therefore, a truly wise Zen master only gives with the wisdom of Buddhism, and will not help others with his magical powers. Moreover, avatar is not equal to karma. Some people claim that they already have Sanming Liutong, which looks beautiful for a while, but in the end they will suffer, which is to confuse cause and effect with magical powers.

"Liu Tong" means six magical powers, Sanskrit? Answer? Abich. . Generally speaking, the six rings are: god's foot, heaven's ear, other people's heart, destiny, heaven's eye and leakage. "Long Agama" Volume 9, add the word "pass card" for each pass; In Volume 27 of The Theory of Various Schools, the word "Zheng Zhiguan" has been added to each level, except that the word "ancestor" has been changed to "nerve", for example, nerve Zheng Zhiguan. (1) Divine wisdom: the realization of various realms, such as the so-called eighteen gods of free flight. (2) Eye Smart Card: Get eye roots made in four color worlds, and you can see material images such as distance and thickness from the ground and underground. (3) Tianer Zheng Zhitong: The ears made by the four heavenly ways in the color world can smell the sounds in the world, the heavenly ways and the three evil ways. (4) His psychological ability: He can know what others are thinking and whether there is dirt. (5) Stay and read the smart card (fatal pass): I can know and remember the past, from the first time, the tenth time, eternity, and even trillions of times. (6) Revealing the Smart Card: Prove that you have broken your troubles and habits and are no longer suffering from life and death.

According to the twenty-seventh volume of Hinayana's "On the Whole House", the first five levels can also be achieved (or rewarded), and the sixth level can only be achieved by saints. Volume 28 of "On Great Wisdom" says that the five magical powers are obtained by the Bodhisattva, and the sixth magical power is the catharsis, which only the Buddha can obtain.

In order to distinguish it from the common five links, the three items of the six links are called Sanming in Arahant. For example, the karma wisdom card is called Ming because Kong Zhi was liberated from the world, which is collectively called Sanming Six Classics. Sanming, which is also located in Foguo, is different from the two saints and is called the three great. Arhat's avatar is still limited, and only the avatar of Buddha can be reached. In fact, the six roots of human beings can initiate magical powers. Because the roots of nose and tongue are not as good as Zen in color, they are not counted as magical powers. But as far as general power is concerned, they do have the fact that their noses are connected with their tongues.

As for "four intelligences", it is a noun in the theory of only knowing. The so-called "eight wisdom with leakage" is transformed into four wisdom without leakage. Of the eight senses, the first five and eight senses can only be transformed into wisdom when they reach the Buddha's position, and the sixth and seventh senses can only be transformed into wisdom when they are above the Bodhisattva's position. The so-called turning eight senses into four senses is: 1. Turn the first five senses into wisdom, 2. Turn the sixth knowledge into wonderful observation wisdom, 3. Turn the seventh knowledge into equal wisdom, and 4. Turn the eighth knowledge into the wisdom of the great circle mirror.

According to  Huihai's "On the Important Gate of Enlightenment", the four intelligences are "equally famous" and attached to the Buddha's Three-body: "The great circle mirror wisdom alone becomes the dharma body, and the equal wisdom alone becomes the body, and the wonderful view wisdom and the perfect wisdom * * * become the body. This three-body also has a pseudonym for the unsolved. 」

This is the Zen master's method of applying epistemology to explain epiphany, which actually contains all the highest methods.

The six miraculous feats in the Biography of Xianzong are due to the ignorance of Prajna, and the wisdom of thinking is also due to the ignorance of Prajna, so it is not necessary to shine on everything at the same time.
