Social work examination generally refers to the professional level examination of social workers. It is the main way to evaluate the professional level of social workers, and it is also the main means for social workers to obtain corresponding professional qualifications and levels.
The professional level evaluation of social workers is divided into three levels: assistant social workers, social workers and senior social workers. Measures for evaluating the professional level of senior social workers shall be formulated separately. Through the evaluation of professional level, the personnel who have obtained the professional level certificate of social workers show that they have the level and ability to work in the corresponding professional and technical posts.
All citizens of China who abide by national laws and regulations, abide by professional ethics, engage in specialized social service work in social service institutions such as social welfare, social assistance, social charity, rehabilitation of the disabled, special care and placement, health service, youth service, judicial correction, etc., and meet the registration requirements for assistant social workers or social workers, can apply for the corresponding level of examinations.
Examination registration generally adopts online registration, on-site qualification examination and online payment. The registration time is generally around March-April. Please refer to the current application documents for specific registration arrangements. The results of social work examinations are generally announced two months after the end of the examination, and candidates can visit the website of the local personnel examination center for enquiries.
Personnel who take part in the social work teacher examination shall meet one of the following conditions:
1. Obtained high school or technical secondary school education, obtained the professional level certificate of assistant social worker, and engaged in social work for 6 years.
2. Obtain a college degree or above in social work and have been engaged in social work for 4 years.
3. Obtain a bachelor's degree in social work and have been engaged in social work for 3 years.
4. Get a master's degree in social work and engage in social work 1 year.
5. Get a doctorate in social work.
6. Those who have obtained a college degree or above in other majors will be engaged in social work for a corresponding increase of 2 years.
