17 Brigade's Distribution of Ground-to-Air Missile Battalion

1956 in March, the government of China made a decisive decision to set up China's ground-to-air missile force before the atomic bomb and artificial satellite, so as to maintain the airspace security. It is said that this secret organization was supported by the Soviet government. The ground-to-air missile force initially had only two battalions: the second battalion and the third battalion. In order to speed up personnel training, 1958 September, China established the first specialized school of surface-to-air missiles, which laid a solid foundation for training professionals. At this point, the formation of the ground-to-air missile force has been basically completed.
