Mrs easterbrook is a member of the board of directors of Monterey College and the founder of Stilwell Scholars Program, which is dedicated to supporting students from China.
Nancy has been a goodwill ambassador for the American people for many years and has made unremitting efforts to promote exchanges between the United States and China. The Stilwell Scholarship she founded helps outstanding students from China to pursue professional degrees in translation, international policy studies, language teaching and business management at Monterey College.

Dear Tom:
Thank you for your letter. I finally received it in London. I think you'd like to know about your trip so far. So here's a brief description.
Well, you remember that we left Sydney on Monday and arrived in London 24 hours later. After such a long and exhausting flight, the first thing we do is to have a good sleep. And after that? A good meal to make up for all the terrible airline things!
On the first day of our holiday, we just walked around London and felt the place. However, since then, we have become more critical and plan carefully every day.
First, we visited all the historical sites, such as the Tower of London, Parliament House, British Museum and National Gallery. Then we visited some other famous places, such as the Royal Botanical Garden in Britain and Heather in hampstead. Finally, we took a one-day trip to Oxford, which is really the most incredible town. When you visit England, you must go there.
After visiting many places in London, we flew to Paris. First of all, we don't like this place-I think it's because it's so different from London. However, later we began to really like it and began to appreciate its uniqueness.
The last stop of our trip is to visit Rome, after which we will stay in Singapore for two days and then return to Australia.

Dear Tom:
I'm just writing to let you know that we are all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, I have some rather bad news for you: I'm afraid I've made John's car a little messy. Anyway, here's the thing.
After a long party, we were on our way to Carol's house. I think it was about eleven o'clock. Well, the last few miles home were really dark and cold. I realize now that I may have driven a little too fast for a country road, because, although the road was quite straight, I drove up the curb and ran into a tree.
Of course, John was absolutely angry and started yelling and cursing at me. After we argued for a while, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a little. Well, we found that we could move the car, but the wing was stuck in the wheel, so we couldn't drive it. I tried to pull the wings apart, but it didn't work.
Anyway, John went to call a truck that broke down, but when he was away, I tried again and successfully repaired it this time. I threw it in the back seat when John came back and we were ready to go? So we don't need a broken car at all. John has forgiven me more or less now, but he was very angry with me for a few days. I think I'm a little careless.
