Chengdu East Railway Station
Chengdu East Railway Station is located in chenghua district, Chengdu, Sichuan. The fifth section of the East Third Ring Road faces Longquanyi District in the east and Hui Road in the north. It belongs to China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It is one of the major railway hubs in China and one of the largest railway passenger stations in the central and western regions. It is a comprehensive transportation hub integrating railway, rail transit, long-distance bus and public transportation.
The former Chengdu East Railway Station was located in Balizhuang and was built in April of 196 1. Due to the newly-built Chengdu East Railway Station, it was renamed as Bali Station on February 20 10. The new Chengdu East Station was newly built in the former site of Shahebao Station, and it was officially started in June 5438+February 2008. On May 8th, 20 1 1, Chengdu East Railway Station was put into operation. As of 20 18, 12 and 3 1, Chengdu East Station covers an area of 683,300 square meters with a total construction area of 220,000 square meters. The scale of the station is 26 lines 14, and the designed peak hour passenger throughput is 24,000 passengers.
Construction concept of Chengdu East Railway Station
The overall inspiration of Chengdu East Railway Station comes from the cultural relics unearthed from Sanxingdui site. Two unique bronze masks of Sanxingdui are used as the supporting pillars of the building, and the eaves are stretched and flamboyant, just like the return of the sun god bird. The design of Chengdu East Railway Station also incorporates the bamboo curtain wall in western Sichuan style, as well as palaces and sculptures showing Han and Shu culture. By July 2008+2065438, the total construction area of Chengdu East Station was 220,000 square meters, including passenger room107,000 square meters, covering an area of about 683,300 square meters.
