Cat fat liquefaction usually occurs 5 ~ 7 days after abdominal surgery. It can be seen that the subcutaneous tissue of the cat's surgical incision is free, and yellow liquid can ooze from the needle eye or incision after extrusion, and even the skin can be completely split from the needle eye in severe cases. Every day, while dressing the wound, puncture and extract the exudate in the cavity, apply proper amount of purple liquid, pressure bandage and give antibiotics to prevent secondary infection.
After local debridement and local anesthesia, remove part or all of the suture, and rinse the incision with metronidazole every day. If there is a lot of necrotic tissue, use a surgical blade to remove the necrotic tissue and squeeze the incision to eliminate exudation as much as possible.
Preventive measures of fat liquefaction in cats;
1, strictly aseptic operation.
2, gentle action, careful hemostasis, protect the incision, reduce the exposure time of the incision.
3. Before suturing subcutaneous tissue, rinse with normal saline to remove necrotic tissue and fat.
4, subcutaneous suture, try to avoid the formation of dead space, suture should not be too tight and too dense.
