2020-0 1- 19 Cognitive Notes

First, the so-called growth is cognitive upgrading.

I have been thinking about how to make a company grow faster. How does a person stand out from the competition of a group of people?

*************************************************

How did he get this information? Why is this important to me?

A person's cognition is the basis of his thinking and execution, and there are generally four cognitive states.

*************************************************

1. Four cognitive states of human beings

I saw a picture recently, and I added a digital footnote to it.

This is a person's four cognitive states-"I don't know if I don't know", "I know if I don't know", "I know if I know" and "I don't know if I don't know", and it is also a person's four realms. I simply translated it into:

Not knowing is not knowing-a self-righteous cognitive state that thinks it knows everything.

Know that you don't know-have awe, start an empty cup mentality, and prepare to enrich your cognition.

Know what you know-grasp the law of things and improve your cognition.

I don't know what I know-always keep an empty cup mentality, the highest level of cognition.

Now I finally realize that the fundamental difference between people lies in these four states. Even more frightening is that 95% of people are in the first state, or even more. This is why mediocre people are the majority. Turning a blind eye will only lose the possibility of upgrading. Only by self-denial and keeping an empty cup mentality can a person really grow up and achieve a leap.

Today, we are in an era of great bend, and the cognition of various industries is rapidly overlapping, and cross-border is becoming more and more common. If we don't maintain this "self-denial" cognitive state, it will be difficult to complete the cognition of the rapidly changing industry.

The biggest difference between people is cognition.

Cognition is almost the only essential difference between people. The difference of skills can be quantified. The more skills are accumulated, the more skills will be worked. Cognitive differences are crucial and cannot be quantified.

Remember to make an appointment with Ma Yun for tea in Hong Kong. He hardly uses e-mail. At that time, I wondered why he could command such a big empire. Later, it was found that he was constantly observing the changes in the industry, looking for key entry points from the changes, and looking for resources and people to cooperate with.

The competition between people is the understanding of one thing and the insight into the industry. Execution is very important, but the essence of execution is practical cognition.

Sometimes, I will learn from a painful experience and wonder why the Qing Empire lost so badly in the Opium War. In a word, a group of people with modern physics cognition defeated another group of people who believed in the cognition of the Four Books and Five Classics. In fact, it is a contest between two different cognitions.

*************************************************

What about the reason construction proposed by the author? How to test or exclude these assumptions? Is there any other possibility?

Take Ma Yun as an example to illustrate the importance of cognition, and execution is cognitive upgrading. Only examples, no arguments.

3. Two misunderstandings of cognitive upgrading

True cognition needs to be demonstrated through action, and once action is lacking, cognition will easily fall into misunderstanding. I summed up two possible misunderstandings, which may not be comprehensive, and began to absorb jade:

Misunderstanding 1: It is far better to think that you know than that you don't know.

Self-righteousness is the deadly enemy of self-awareness upgrading. Looking back at 372 1, I didn't do Baidu search in those years. Later, I decided that Baidu didn't sell it because I accidentally sold the company.

As an early employee of 372 1, I don't think he expected it. At that time, Li Yanhong knew much more about search than he did. Lao Zhou didn't want to fight hard, didn't want to fight hard, didn't want to do big research and development, and didn't believe in algorithms. At that time, it was essentially impossible for Lao Zhou to choose to sell the company. But he doesn't think so.

Self-denial, that is, assuming ignorance, is the only way to improve self-cognition. Without painful self-denial, we can't reach a new level in cognition. Even if the right information is in front of you, you will turn a blind eye. This is basically the only chance to distinguish between heroes and mortals.

Myth 2: It is often different to think that you think it is important and really think it is important.

There is a word called self-confusion. I think this is very important, but I didn't turn it into real action at all.

My biggest reflection is my understanding of the headlines. More than two years ago, I said that the headline was mobile search. What is my reflection? I thought it was important at that time. It was not until the fourth quarter of 15 that I began to gather people and start the business of overseas headlines.

This is a common misunderstanding in cognition: thinking that you think it is important is often different from really thinking it is important.

The cognition of inaction is a wrong cognition. What's the use of showing off your knowledge? When a wave hits, cognition is gone, as if there is nothing. True cognition must be the combination of knowledge and action.

*************************************************

What will happen if you follow the information? What good (utility) is it for me?

Learn self-denial, abandon subjective vision, stimulate potential and break through yourself.

4. Three antidote to cognitive upgrading

It is difficult to turn one thing into action. There is a big gap between cognition and action. I prescribed three antidotes for cognitive upgrading:

Antidote 1: firmly believe in the general trend

Ideas should be put into action at once. Firmly believe in the general trend and the cognitive decision-making of this company. Don't simply criticize, you must trust those industry leaders.

Of course, they get more information than you, and their ability to process information is better than you. Their cognition is not what you can catch up with at this stage. If you don't understand, you will execute, and you will understand in execution.

Believe blindly, act immediately, and form cognition in action. Don't be afraid of death, die early and live early. Last year, I came up with the decision to be a robot, and almost no one thought it feasible. I thought, find someone first, firmly believe in the trend, and act immediately. In that case, if you don't do it, there will be no chance and you will only lose a lot of time.

Inaction is the worst. Action is the only way to falsify. There is no point in sitting and talking.

Antidote 2: Ask for advice from outside, and don't be a frog in the well.

It is important to have a mentality of asking for advice from the outside world. Seeking advice from the outside world is to broaden your horizons. Looking for a leader, eating pork is different. They are better than you, not because they are clever, but because they have knowledge you don't know.

In those days, Xu Ming and I made the image of a cow, and our slogan was here we come. Our technical level, the customer experience we have made, we will destroy everything we see. When we come to this industry, who can survive? As a result, Meitu Xiu Xiu beat us to pieces.

On technology, I believe that the beautiful picture of Xiu Xiu at that time was far away from us. But we don't understand the cognition that Meitu Xiu Xiu likes to take photos in QQ space after 8090. This is something we can't compare with Meitu Xiu Xiu.

It is also a state that we are particularly easy to fall into: self-centered and not looking outside. Faced with new things, many people don't even have the desire to try and communicate with others. I don't know what happened outside.

Emphasize that cognitive understanding has nothing to do with intelligence. Only by understanding the world and the industry from a cognitive perspective, rather than from a smart perspective, can you have more different perceptions and see more opportunities that others can't see but are stubborn and unwilling to understand.

The more desperate the team is, the more cautious it is.

Antidote 3: Live in the present and face the future.

What should I do if I think wrong when I am afraid? How wrong the right opportunity is. This is a thinking training I gave myself. When you face one thing, what is the worst result? Think about it, and you will find that the worst result is not an order of magnitude with your inner fear.

Fear itself is fear. The essence of refusing to try is that you dare not face the so-called failure. But what are the consequences of this failure? Few people have seriously thought about it. In fact, most failures have no consequences.

Then face the future, when struggling, think about what will happen in five years? Will it be eliminated? If five years later, you have become a stranger in this era, this is the most terrible. This industry is changing faster than we expected.

5. The so-called growth is cognitive upgrading.

The so-called growth does not come from the so-called high position and power, not from the so-called wealth accumulation, nor from a certain skill you have mastered.

There are many such people in the industry. Like Shi Yuzhu. At the worst time, I was heavily in debt and had nothing. Rise again with a melatonin. Because his cognitive level in the whole marketing is ahead of an era. Even if he lost all his wealth, even all his teams, his understanding of marketing was unparalleled in that era. As long as he is alive, he can turn over at any time.

In desperation, his real core weapon is not resources at all, but cognition.

Think about the development of Tencent over the years. Before the 3Q War, Tencent talked about the petal strategy-there are many petals on my flowers, and each petal can kill you. This situation made Tencent have to compete with the most advanced cognition in all fields at that time, which was very difficult; After the 3Q War, Tencent changed its strategy to ecological chain. The first investment was cheetah, and later invested in a number of companies.

What is the result? Tencent's market value rose from $30 billion to more than $200 billion today. Forbes magazine once ranked 40 China business elites under the age of 40 in the annual ranking, and Liu ranked first, followed by me and third. Ma left a message saying that four of the top five had something to do with me, which was a great honor.

I've been thinking about it ever since. In fact, the ecosystem formed by Ma's investment has helped him to establish enough industry recognition. Because, after he invested in these companies, he was not talking with an ordinary product manager, but with Liu about e-commerce, search and internationalization.

Therefore, such an open ecological strategy, Tencent is essentially not the money earned by investment, but the cognition of investment.

It has established friendly relations with everyone. How can it not know the scale, direction and goal of the tourism market, e-commerce market and international market? How can you not know what opportunities there are for internationalization? The core lies in industry cognition.

Looking back on the rise of 360, what did it bring me? Simply put, it is to let me get the first-hand knowledge of the industry-the knowledge of how the security industry, client software and the Internet subvert an industry.

When I left 360, my former employer only gave me 1 yuan, but my friend comforted me that it doesn't matter, others can't take away your accumulated knowledge, and everything will be returned to you in the future. I took a cognition and set foot on the vast sea of entrepreneurship.

Because of such a small cognition.

I can be so determined to be a clean master. No one knows how to globalize the APP, I don't know many words, and I haven't done business. At that time, I knew almost nothing about the so-called internationalization and the American market, and made all the decisions in Clean Master. Because of that feeling.

Because I believe one thing-360 single-handedly incited an industry, which really happened in front of me, and I am a witness.

The so-called growth comes from cognition.

Sometimes when I think of this era, a historical allusion often comes to mind-the hero of cooking wine. Two people sat there, one pointing at the crowd and the other grovelling. Who is the hero in the world? Cao Cao said that only the ears of the monarch and the minister were used, and Liu Bei was so scared that his chopsticks fell off. Even though all kinds of people in the world have thousands of troops, what Cao Cao really cares about is Liu Bei, who grows vegetables. Although Liu Bei is attached to others, his heart is to help Han know.

The later historical trend is just like the cognitive discussion above. How complicated the world trend is; Even so, it can be simplified to the most critical point, which is the key cognition of key people.

And the essence of cognition is decision. Once people have cognitive differences, they will make completely different decisions. And these decisions are the biggest difference between you and these people. What matters is not the resources and strength you have, but the overall situation in your mind and your cognitive ability.

Whether it is a single point or potential energy, cheetahs can make achievements. The essence is that under the huge dividend growth of the mobile Internet, it has made a decision that is not necessarily so critical but very correct. At that time, we set a precedent.

But this knowledge is not enough to support us to become an outstanding and great company. We still need a cognitive upgrade. The biggest wealth that cheetah and I have gained in the past year is to start a cognitive upgrade.

I began to think about one sentence: a person's Excellence can't make an excellent company; A group of excellent people can create an excellent company. The core of Excellence is the cognitive upgrading of a company and a group of people, otherwise it is impossible to really reach a new level.

It will only fall into an infinite loop: cognition is not unified, and things cannot be pushed. The essence of being unable to push is that no one has established a recognition of the importance of this matter. Invisible or stubborn, it is not terrible. The most terrible thing is that we don't know "we don't know".

If a person constantly wants to learn, understand and reflect; Empty cup mentality, let go of fear and not refuse to change. The cognitive upgrade is actually to break the window paper. Growth is like this.

*************************************************

What are the consequences of not doing so? How serious is the problem of not changing?

If you don't study, make progress, reflect and change, you will fall behind.

*************************************************

*************************************************

Is there an opposite concept of fitness (counterproductive)? Are there any examples that don't support this?

1. Is the only difference between people cognition? Is the difference of personality management between people determined by cognition?

2. Is there only self-denial in upgrading cognition? Repeating successful experiences and self-learning can upgrade cognition?

*************************************************

*************************************************

Use (conditions of use) is just like this. What conditions should be stipulated (considering costs and benefits, attitude and ability, etc.). )? Under what circumstances not?

1. To achieve cognitive upgrading, we must deny ourselves and dare to question our own ideas.

2. Efficient study, purposeful study, practice after study, and choose learning resources.

Step 3 touch the cowshed

*************************************************

*************************************************

Is there any similar (or seemingly similar) information before? How do industry writers in other fields view similar problems?

10000 hours of study can make you a master. This just shows that cognitive upgrading is the only way out.

*************************************************

*************************************************

What is the real difference between the opposite or similar information on the border (Chu-He-Han boundary) and this information? Where is the intersection?

Study? Practice? Summary and learning are all about cognition, which is the key and decisive factor. The difference of this article lies in the importance of cognition.
