Article 6
The state establishes entry-exit frontier inspection organs at ports open to the outside world.
China citizens, foreigners and means of transport enter and exit from ports open to the outside world. Under special circumstances, you can leave or enter the country from a place approved by the department authorized by the State Council or the State Council. Entry-exit personnel and vehicles shall be subject to entry-exit frontier inspection.
The port restricted area shall be managed by the entry-exit frontier inspection organ. According to the needs of maintaining national security and the order of entry-exit administration, the entry-exit frontier inspection organ may conduct frontier inspection on the articles carried by entry-exit personnel. When necessary, the entry-exit frontier inspection organ may conduct frontier inspection on the goods carried in the entry-exit means of transport, but it shall notify the customs.

With the approval of the State Council, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs may, according to the needs of entry-exit management, make provisions on the preservation of biometric information such as fingerprints of entry-exit personnel.
