Liu Yandong, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, attended the second national teleconference on educational informatization, stressing that we should conscientiously study and implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, vigorously promote the integrated development of information technology, education and teaching, innovation and entrepreneurship, promote educational equity, improve the quality of education, and provide strong support for training high-quality talents needed for modernization.

Remarkable achievements have been made in educational informatization.

Since the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", educational informatization has made remarkable achievements. Breakthrough progress has been made in the three major projects of "broadband network connecting schools", "high-quality resources connecting classes" and "network learning space connecting everyone". The two platforms, educational resources and educational management, have been widely used, which have effectively promoted educational reform and development.

Narrow the educational gap

Vigorously promote the informationization of education and use modern information technology to enable children in rural areas, remote areas, poverty-stricken areas and ethnic minority areas to enjoy high-quality educational resources and narrow the gap between regions, urban and rural areas and schools.

Improve teachers' information technology ability

It is necessary to improve teachers' ability to use information technology, innovate educational concepts and teaching models, and improve the quality of personnel training.

Internet+Education Public Service

We should grasp the trend of "internet plus", provide strong support for innovative activities such as makers and mass creation through opening up education and scientific and technological resources, and provide educational services for all-people learning and lifelong learning.

Deepen the reform and innovation mechanism
