A trip to Mount Carmel.

Mount Carmel is located in northern Israel, near the Mediterranean Sea. Mount Carmel is 16 miles long, 4 to 5 miles wide and 1800 meters high.

Hebrew "Karem El" means "God's Vineyard".

Mount Carmel has been a symbol of beauty and glory since ancient times, because most of the prophets and kings of past dynasties built altars on Mount Carmel to worship different gods. The name of Mount Carmel is immortal, because on this mountain,

There was a wonderful performance of the true god defeating the pagans. The prophet Elijah challenged the prophet of Baal here. When the spell of the prophet Baal failed, Elijah prayed to God to send fire from heaven to burn up his burnt offering (1 Kings 18: 20-40).

In front of the Elijah Memorial Hall at the top of Carmel, there is a stone statue of Elijah with Baal's prophet at his feet, which is very brave and powerful.

Starting from 199 1, Pastor david davies and Pastor Peter Chookiat Sakveerakul Sheila, who returned to Israel from the United States, established the worship center of Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel according to the teaching of "new people" in Ephesians 2: 15. They set up a rehabilitation center for teenagers in Haifa city, helped some teenagers get on the right path, and regularly distributed food and clothes to families in need. There are worship, prayers, youth gatherings and Sunday schools every week, as well as teaching in Hebrew, English, Russian and Arabic. There is also a service school in the worship center, which provides facilities for local and overseas believers to learn more about God's intentions for the Israeli people and land, as well as the teaching and example of Jesus Christ.

Mount Carmel Church has three buildings. The semi-circular building is the main hall, and the basement includes the children's Sunday school classroom, the bomb shelter and a prayer room named Elijah Cave. The second building, called "Light of Mount Carmel", includes the main office, intern dormitory, big kitchen, big dining room, pastor hall, and guest rooms that can accommodate several visitors. In the third building, there is a women's shelter to help Jewish refugee women returning from Russia, Ethiopia and other countries. Some of them fled Darfur in southern Sudan and came to Israel. Their husbands must stay in Israeli prisons until their identity and intentions are determined. Among these women are Christians and Muslims. Most of them speak Arabic, only a few speak a little English.
