Application procedures and required documents
1. A copy of the identity certificate of the applicant or the legal representative of the company;
2. A copy of the registration in the Commercial and Movable Property Registry;
3. A copy of the company's business license, industrial registration certificate or similar documents;
4. M/8 copy of the latest business tax bill;
5. Copy of passport of non-local personnel: it must include personal data, date of issuance and validity period of the certificate (if submitting a Chinese identity card, it must include the Chinese pinyin of its name);
6. Diploma, work experience or professional qualification certificate and resume of foreigners (please attach translation in languages other than Chinese, English and Portuguese);
7. Labor contract signed between the applicant and the foreigner (all pages of the contract must be signed).
Fee: free of charge.
Time required for approval: it depends (please consult foreign employees).
If it is an "input" application, the following documents shall be attached:
1. Completed application form for professional foreign employees (Form A49); (Original application form must be obtained from foreign employees)
Two copies of social security fund payment vouchers in the last two quarters;
3. Photocopy of documents proving that local workers have been employed.

Non-residents personally and directly engage in activities in line with their own interests:
According to the provisions of administrative regulation no.2004. 17/2004 regulations on the prohibition of illegal work;
1. Administrative permission must be obtained in advance (unless there are special provisions);
2. The relevant permission shall be applied to the Financial Secretary through the Bureau of Labor Affairs, and the procedures of the legal system applicable to the employment of foreign employees shall be observed.
Documents required for application
Non-Macao residents applying for work permits to engage in activities for their own interests shall submit the following documents:
1. A copy of the applicant's ID card;
2. Copy of business tax-tax voucher M/8 or business tax-opening/change declaration form M/ 1;
3. Proof documents of the business the applicant is engaged in, such as academic qualifications, letters of recommendation, and work certificates issued by former employers, including the work he is engaged in and the nature of the work. (If it is a language other than Chinese, Portuguese and English, please attach the same translation);
4. Economic proof that the applicant has the ability to live in Macao (such as income certificate and bank deposit certificate in the last three months, etc.). );

6. Personal data of employed local workers. Fill in the address or contact number, monthly salary, employment date and position of the laborer on one side of the copy of the resident ID card.
