Foreign ships compete for officials and businessmen,
The cross gate leads to the sea,
Five-silk and eight-silk wide satin is good,
There are thirteen rows of money.
-Qu Dajun
China is the birthplace of silk, and the world began to understand China from silk. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the east-west sea route was opened, and silk, as the most important commodity, was transported to all parts of the world through Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area. Nearly half of the world's total silver output continuously flows into China from overseas. The silk in China's foreign exchanges was once brilliant and experienced ups and downs, which made people sad.
The economy of the Bay Area is born of Hong Kong and prospers from the Bay. It has a natural openness, and it is highly dependent on the international trading system, which also profoundly affects the international trading system. Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao are of the same origin and come down in one continuous line, which is an important bridge connecting the ancient and modern maritime Silk Road and an important hub for promoting global trade integration.

Under the guidance of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Guangdong Provincial Museum, in combination with its own collection resources, deeply explored the historical background, cultural connotation and Lingnan characteristics of litchi, and launched the "Litchi Culture Exhibition" during the Mid-Autumn Festival of the National Day, aiming at helping the high-quality development of litchi industry, promoting the integration of cultural tourism, and enhancing the popularity and influence of "Guangdong Litchi" through exhibitions.
Chapter 1: The beautiful fruit of the South China-a gift from nature.
As the origin of litchi, China has the richest germplasm resources of litchi in the world. As the origin of litchi in China, Lingnan has cultivated litchi for more than 2,000 years. When we savor this sweet and precious fruit to our heart's content, have you ever wondered who cultivated it painstakingly in the long years and finally turned the sour wild fruit into delicious food on earth? Who spread the reputation of this rare treasure to the south of China and even went abroad, enjoying a good reputation at home and abroad?
Throughout the ages, from south to north, Yang Guifei, Su Dongpo and other people who love Li abound. For Lingnan people in Li Xiang, litchi is not only beautiful on the tip of the tongue, but also a symbol of hometown. It is a very kind and sweet taste memory, full of the nostalgia of overseas travelers for their hometown.
Chapter II: * * * Appreciating beauty-a favorite of the imperial court.
Litchi is not only delicious on the tip of the tongue, but also sneaked into the lives of the ancients. Once upon a time, it can be found in the tribute treasures of the imperial court, household utensils, costumes of senior officials, and folk tea, incense, drama and romance. As the hometown of litchi, buildings decorated with litchi can be seen everywhere in Lingnan area. Many children and grandchildren, good luck and millions of profits, give litchi all kinds of auspicious meanings, and also express human yearning and pursuit for a better future.
Chapter III: Pale red and light blue-the inspiration of artistic creation.
"If it is warm, it will be like a cloud, if it is faint, it will cross the sky", "If it burns, it will be like sunrise, if the stars fall into the sky". This is a heartfelt praise of litchi by Wang Yi, a writer in the Eastern Han Dynasty, in Lychee Fu.
Literati and poets in past dynasties have created countless poems about litchi, and painters and craftsmen also have a good impression on litchi. Litchi's crimson appearance and white lining make it have strong artistic charm, which brings endless creative inspiration to China traditional art.

Northwest China, located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, is one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation. Prehistoric humans created the Yellow River civilization represented by painted pottery culture, and opened up the primitive road in the spread of civilization. Since the Qin and Han Dynasties, dynasties have changed, and magnificent historical dramas have been staged continuously. Many ethnic groups and their regimes closely intersect, forming regional cultural exchanges and mutual influence, and ancient traffic roads are formed and developed at the intersection. As an important aspect of social productive forces, road traffic maintained the lifeblood of the feudal dynasty.
At the beginning of the 7th century, the Tang Dynasty established a close relationship with Tubo, and the ancient Tubo Road in Tang Dynasty was formed. In the Tang Dynasty, the two sides interacted frequently in many fields, presenting a scene of "golden jade embroidery, asking about the past, facing each other across the road, and endless fun". The ancient Tang-Fan road, with a total length of more than 3,000 kilometers, runs from Chang 'an in the Tang Dynasty to Luodian in Tubo (now Lhasa), and is an important part of the southern road network of the onshore Silk Road. The land crossing Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Sichuan, Tibet and other provinces (regions) is an important passage from the Central Plains to Qinghai, Tibet, Nepal, India and other places since the Tang Dynasty, and it is also a link to maintain national feelings and regional ties and promote exchanges and integration between different ethnic groups.
Guangdong has beautiful scenery and rich Lingnan —— Guangdong Natural Resources Exhibition
Time: long term
Venue: Guangdong Provincial Museum
Ticket price: free.
The special feature of this exhibition is that from the preface hall, a series of refreshing square pendants are used as decorative elements throughout the exhibition. Through the combination and lighting effect, these hanging sketches rose from the ground to the air at the beginning of the exhibition hall, as if connecting heaven and earth with a blue ocean, which firmly attracted the audience's attention and introduced them into a space full of natural elements. Then, the pendant sometimes tumbles through the exhibition along the exhibition direction, and sometimes goes straight to guide the audience to keep moving forward; Finally, the hanging pieces are spread out in the hollow space between the fourth floor and the third floor of the exhibition hall, and the specimens of marine animals are hung on them. All kinds of marine animals seem to swim in the blue ocean, with huge dinosaur fossils under it, and dinosaurs seem to be leisurely under the blue sky. The whole exhibition is divided into seven relatively independent exhibition halls according to the relevant contents, and finally the whole exhibition ends with the presentation of environmental protection issues and various environmental protection anniversaries.
