Deep Music Enlightenment and Education

As a self-taught student in music education and an extended learner in Berkeley, I invited friends in the industry to have an in-depth look at the market situation of the music circle. These two friends happen to come from China and the West. One is Brother Z, who graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music majoring in film and television, making game music. The other is Sister W, who studied in the Hollywood music industry and taught at a university after returning to China. They also love music and develop it in a completely different way, giving us a lot of opinions and suggestions.

1, how to choose an entry-level instrument?

Or choose harmony instruments as an introduction, such as piano and guitar. But the guitar has six strings and a narrow range, and the piano is more comprehensive. In addition, the drum set, which is popular in recent years, is also an entry-level interest direction that can be considered because of the training and mastery of rhythm.

2, China attaches great importance to boys' work, is it as natural as abroad? What is the difference between musical instruments?

You must be a boy if you want to have a professional development in piano and stringed instruments. At the age of five, learning the piano is very general. You practice three hours a day in primary school, and at least six hours a day if you do career development above junior high school. In the professional circle, you can hear the boy's skill and becoming a monk halfway, and it is difficult to bridge the gap the day after tomorrow.

If the guitar is a classical guitar, but also pay attention to childlike innocence, electric guitar will do.

But it is different from vocal music and wind music. Vocal music should wait until the voice changes, wind music should wait until the respiratory system matures, and it depends on the occlusal factors such as lips and teeth.

3. How to find a teacher at the beginning and how to identify a good teacher.

The simplest criterion is to see if you are in a regular school. For example, there are two A-level conservatories in China, the Central Conservatory of Music and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. The most basic thing is to find graduates from these two schools in the fields of performance, composition and music education, but these two colleges graduate more than a dozen students every year. Further down are Class A, China Conservatory of Music, Tianjin Conservatory of Music, and then teachers from Class B institutions, such as graduates from Wuhan Conservatory of Music and Xi 'an Conservatory of Music. In recent years, more and more turtle music teachers have been trained in Shenzhen, which is also a choice.

This is the most easily discovered method by universities. If you follow the music literacy of ordinary parents, you can't see the level from the performance of teachers. You must have a very professional person to watch and ask questions.

The conservatories in Guangzhou and Shenzhen can be called: Shenzhen Admiralty Conservatory of Music and Guangzhou Xinghai Conservatory of Music.

If you want to get started, you need to find a professional teacher to study. Generally, a class lasts 45-60 minutes, and the cost is about 1500 yuan.

4. Choose music as a professional.

According to the observation of teachers, there are basically two kinds: good family conditions to help children realize their dreams and conditions that are not brave. The subsequent development is hard to say, but Someone in the Circle is definitely completely different.

In terms of geographical choice, whether at home or abroad, of course, we are looking for opportunities around the people closest to the top of the industry. For example, in Hollywood's "Music Street", all the supporting businesses such as restaurants and bars are actually professional players seeking music dreams. Those who meet aristocrats and get opportunities by "cooking for aristocrats" are lucky people, and those who stay are those who stick to their musical dreams no matter what they do. (The layman sounds really stressed ...)

5. How talented do you need to stand out?

I asked Ronghao Li and Taylor Swift, especially talented people, what was their way up. According to the insiders, in fact, "talent" may account for less than 65,438+00% of the "success" factor (I am simply naive ...), and the main thing is to operate well. If they write this kind of music, professional players can write ten songs a day …

In fact, it depends on comprehensive ability, creative ability, how to sing, image and so on.

What is particularly funny is that many children who study music come to Berkeley on Sunday night, from junior high school to high school, but they are generally handsome. I wonder in my heart: did they learn music because they were good-looking, or did they give up slowly after learning music, or did they learn music better every day?

6. How big is the circle of film and television composition industry?

There may be 100 people in Shanghai, twice as many as in Beijing, and about100 people in Shenzhen.

I heard a lot of interesting stories from experts in the process of film and television composition, but it is really hard to stage them. For example, it is normal to work for 20 hours before the game goes online.

Generally, a complete film and television music team has four or five people composing, arranging, mixing, post-production and so on. Some of them have studios and some go it alone, but under normal intensity and market conditions, everyone's income is hundreds of thousands to hundreds of thousands. Although there is a shortage of talents in the industry, the main bottleneck is personal productivity, so we should save the schedule and relieve ourselves. The loss of high-intensity mental work is still a bit large.

7. What about the music market and music circle in Shenzhen?

Compared with Beijing and Shanghai, the foundation can be said to be relatively poor. There is no high-level professional college, the market has not yet risen, and various dramas have been introduced and released. The overall artistic creation and human resources are quite weak. So it is not easy for parents to find a good teacher for their children.

8. How to face the challenges of boredom and children's lack of sense of purpose on the road of music education?

The best way is to have a small high-quality team with students. In a class, the teacher will tell you first, then the pianist will go to the piano room to practice, the guitarist will practice the guitar and the violinist will practice the violin. We've finished practicing. Let's come back and play together, find problems and have fun in the team, and make progress together.

However, although many training institutions follow this model in form, there are very few teachers who really understand harmony and have the level to guide everyone to perform in an all-round way. In addition, the uneven level of students also greatly affected the effect of joint training. In short, it is generally unsatisfactory.

On the contrary, if everyone is based on zero, if the school has qualified teachers and professional supporting facilities, it is still a very good choice, which requires the school to get rid of the remnants of the last era from an early age (in fact, it will come in 20 years) and have high ideas and inputs.

In short, the best way to enhance children's interest and fun in the process is to create an environment, which can include: establishing clubs, brothers and sisters studying together, parents studying together, etc. Everyone can use their imagination. In short, through cooperation and practice, they can make progress.

9. "Can you send middle school students to write film and television dramas, compose music, practice finding feelings and find incentives with you?"

Theoretically, if you have a certain musical instrument foundation, it will take 3-5 years to teach composition from 0, and more than 1 year if you are writing songs.

But generally, only the middle school attached to the Conservatory of Music will teach composition, and the external training institutions are not equipped with such professional teachers, so children who learn musical instruments normally will not learn here.

To learn music, you have to be true love, otherwise, the road is long and Xiu Yuan is Xi. ...
