? The logistics industry is polarized. First of all, the entry threshold is low, and the requirements for junior positions (compared with positions that do not require much experience, for example) are lower. Some can even do it in high school and technical secondary school (of course, there are more college students in these two years, and older companies will require junior college). To tell the truth, in some projects I handle, in order to save costs, it is recommended to use employees with lower academic qualifications. On the one hand, the cost is low, on the other hand, the turnover rate may be low. Management positions in the logistics industry (not only managers, managers and other management positions, but also some management planning positions) require academic qualifications or experience (preferably rich experience) or even high education plus rich experience. It is precisely these positions, whether doing logistics in enterprises, third-party logistics, fourth-party logistics, or consulting companies, can get higher income and treatment.
However, if you want to be a senior post in the logistics industry, analytical ability is very important, and logical thinking should be clear (similar to the ability to kiss up and learn larded, which is a universal law, so I won't say it here).
In terms of school practice, if possible, visit some large and standardized companies, especially the large warehouses set up by large companies in the bonded area. You can learn a lot if you put your heart into it. In addition, we should cultivate our own organizational and management abilities in schools. If you want to be a senior logistics post, you must participate in coordination and management to achieve a goal and complete a project. Therefore, organization, management (not just representatives), coordination and communication are very important. So personally, if you are introverted and can't change yourself, you are not suitable for logistics.
Let's talk about what kind of job to look for and how to plan it. I have some experience to share with you. If there is no back door and social relations, according to the normal way, the suggestion is to enter some world-class big companies. Many people are talking about how DHL is not good, how UPS is not good, and how APL is. I would like to advise friends who just set foot on their jobs and want to engage in the logistics industry not to listen to them. If there is an opportunity, please go to these companies. Coming out of these companies will bring you a higher starting point for job hopping, even if it won't bring you too much experience. Of course, the logistics work of world-class large-scale production enterprises is also very good. Maybe you can't step into these companies first, but please keep accumulating and look for opportunities.
After entering these world-class companies? My suggestion is to find suitable opportunities to go to some back-office departments and management departments, such as logistics supply chain design department (I think everyone in this industry knows that this industry is mainly divided into the following three types: carrier business (airlines, shipping companies, etc. ), freight forwarding business, logistics supply chain business) and IE department. Or go to some departments that have direct contact with the outside world, such as sales and reservation. The former is easier for you to accumulate experience and learn all kinds of knowledge, which is a shorter way for you to reach the management level. The latter allows you to accumulate more industry and social resources.
