1. After the drilling reaches the depth specified in the drawings, the quality of the hole meets the requirements of the drawings and is approved by the supervision engineer, the hole shall be cleaned immediately. During hole cleaning, the water level in the hole should be kept above the groundwater level or river level 1.5-2m to prevent hole collapse.
2. When cleaning the hole, the mud attached to the casing wall should be removed, and the sediments such as drilling slag and mud sand at the bottom of the hole should be removed. The number of hole cleaning shall be carried out according to the requirements of the drawings, and the sediment thickness of drilling slag at the bottom of the hole after hole cleaning shall conform to the values specified in the drawings. In general, hole cleaning should be done twice after drilling the bridge foundation.
3. After hole cleaning, check the sediment thickness at the bottom of the hole according to the values specified in the drawings. If not specified in the drawings, the sediment thickness of friction piles with a diameter equal to or less than 1.5m shall be equal to or less than 300mm；; When the pile diameter is greater than 1.5m, or the pile length is greater than 40m, or the settlement thickness of friction pile with poor soil quality should be equal to or less than 500mm. The settlement thickness of supporting piles shall meet the requirements of drawings.
The sedimentation thickness of rock-socketed piles shall meet the requirements of the drawings, and shall not be greater than 50mm, and the hole cleaning shall not be replaced by deepening the depth of the hole bottom.
