Chen Qingzhi (484-539) was a military strategist and general of Nanliang. Zi Ziyun was born in Yixing (now Yixing, Jiangsu) and his ancestral home is Guo Shan. When he was a child, he was a loyal follower of Liang Wudi Xiao Yan. In the second year of Datong (528), Wang Yuanhao of Beihai in the Northern Wei Dynasty lowered the beam and ordered Chen Qingzhi to escort Yuanhao northward with 7,000 cavalry. He entered Luoyang the following year, during which he experienced 47 battles, won 47 victories and captured 32 cities. Every battle is a battle with a strength ratio of more than one to ten, so there was a nursery rhyme circulating near Luoyang at that time: "Great generals and famous teachers should not be imprisoned, and thousands of troops and horses should avoid white robes."
"White robe and armor all over the city" refers to when he entered Luoyang.
