Where is the best place to travel to Taiyuan?

As the ancients said, the victory of Sanjin and Jinyang lies in Jinci. Since ancient times, there has been a saying that "if you don't reach the Jinci Temple, you will be wasted in Taiyuan". This temple, which was built in the Western Zhou Dynasty (BC 1 1 century), is the earliest existing royal sacrificial garden in China and is known as the China Museum of Ancient Buildings. Only in Jinci can visitors truly understand the superb artistic attainments of Shanxi architecture.

Notre Dame Cathedral in Jinci, Difficult Old Spring and Bai Zhou in 2800 are called "Three Musts in Jinci". Notre Dame is dedicated to Jiang Ziya's daughter, Zhou Wuwang's wife and Zhou Chengwang's mother Jiang Yi. The biggest highlight in the hall is the 43 colored plastic maids in the Song Dynasty. These statues have different expressions and postures and are regarded as one of the greatest sculptures in history.

Note that the maid wearing red ornaments on the second head from the right smiles shyly on the front, but tears are in her eyes on the side, which vividly shows the bitterness and suffering of the artist's life and is known as the most beautiful statue in Jinci. Master Mei Lanfang went to Jinci every day and visited her for more than three months.

Bai Zhou, known as one of the three wonders of Jinci, is about 2800 years old. According to legend, it was planted by Tang Shuyu himself when he was promoted to Jin. Because of its inclined posture, it is also called "lying cypress". Interestingly, in the Tang Dynasty, a cypress tree grew under the cypress tree to support the inclined cypress tree, so this cypress tree was also called "Qingtian cypress".

There are four iron men about two meters high on the golden platform of Jinci Temple, which are still bright and stainless after thousands of years, showing the highly developed casting level in the Northern Song Dynasty, and are known as the earliest stainless steel in the world. According to expert analysis, the reason why Iron Man does not rust is that the metal contains nickel, chromium and other components.

Duiyue Square, built in 1576 (the fourth year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty), was built by Gao Yingyuan, a famous calligrapher in Ming Dynasty, to recover his mother. The archway is 9.5 meters high, and the majestic word "to the moon" on the plaque was written by Gao Yingyuan. In ancient Chinese, "reporting on the moon" means propaganda. This plaque is known as one of the three famous plaques in Jinci.
