1. Application conditions All China citizens who abide by the law and meet one of the following conditions can take the qualification examination for cost engineers: (1) After graduating from a college majoring in engineering cost, they have been engaged in engineering cost business for 5 years; After graduating from engineering or engineering economics, I have been engaged in engineering cost business for 6 years. (2) Having worked in the engineering cost business for 4 years after graduating from the engineering cost major; After graduating from engineering or engineering economics, he has been engaged in engineering cost business for 5 years. (three) after obtaining the second bachelor's degree or postgraduate degree in the above major and obtaining the master's degree, he has been engaged in the engineering cost business for 3 years. (4) Having worked in the engineering cost business for 2 years after obtaining the above professional doctorate.

Before the Notice of the Ministry of Personnel and the Ministry of Construction on Printing and Distributing the Interim Provisions on the Qualification System of Cost Engineers (No.77,No. [1996]) (that is, before August 26th, 1996), those who have been employed as senior professional and technical positions and meet one of the following conditions can learn the relevant knowledge of engineering cost management and construction engineering technology and measurement without trial.

(1) 1970 (inclusive) Graduated from engineering or engineering economics, and worked in engineering cost business for over 15 years.

(2) Graduated from engineering or engineering economics before 1970 (inclusive) and engaged in engineering cost business for 20 years.

(3) 1970 (inclusive) has obtained technical secondary school education in engineering or engineering economics, and has been engaged in engineering cost business for 25 years.

According to the Notice on Approving Hong Kong and Macao Residents to Participate in the Qualification Examination for Professional and Technical Personnel held in the Mainland (No.9 issued by the Ministry of Civil Affairs [2005]), all Hong Kong and Macao residents who meet the corresponding provisions of the qualification examination for cost engineers can sign up for the examination according to the procedures and requirements specified in the document.

2. Registration time and method The registration time generally begins in April each year (subject to the time announced by the local personnel examination department). Applicants apply themselves, and with the consent of the unit where they work, they will go through the registration formalities at the local personnel examination management institution with relevant supporting materials. The personnel of the CPC Central Committee, various departments, troops and directly affiliated units in the State Council shall sign up for the examination according to the principle of territoriality.
