The National Food and Nutrition Advisory Committee is an advisory body composed of experts in agriculture, food, nutrition, health, economy and trade according to Article 22 of the Outline of Food Structure Reform and Development in China in 1990s promulgated by the State Council. After consultation between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health, and with the approval of the leading comrades of the State Council, the National Food and Nutrition Advisory Committee is attached to the Ministry of Agriculture, which is responsible for working with relevant ministries and commissions.
