What is the difference between Buddhism and Taoism?

Belief in Buddhism and Taoism is a belief in Buddhism and Taoism. The difference lies in different attitudes towards life and death, different methods of practice, and different attitudes towards the afterlife and this life.

1. Differences in attitudes towards life and death between Buddhism and Taoism.

Buddhists regard death as life, and believe that a person's body can only achieve positive results after death and reach the other shore.

Taoism's attitude towards life and death is completely opposite to Buddhism, which can be described as greed for death.

2. Buddhism and Taoism have different attitudes towards the afterlife.

Buddha says the afterlife, while Tao emphasizes this life. Taoism pays more attention to this life, while Buddhism pays more attention to the afterlife. Taoism does not deny the afterlife, but believes that people in this life should live without regrets, and the people in the afterlife are no longer themselves.

3. Buddhism and Taoism practice differently.

Although both Buddhism and Taoism can practice through meditation, the essence of practice is completely different.

Taoist meditation practice forms an elixir in the body, which we can call Shen Yuan. After the elixir is completed, Shen Yuan can experience the three corpse gods completely, and Shen Yuan will replace the original body and then soar in the daytime to become an immortal.

The purpose of Buddhist meditation is to achieve a state of meditation, completely forget your body and let your truth be released from it. When practicing to the highest level, there is no difference between the human body and the state of death, and the body loses its breathing and heartbeat.

When the yogi is really like this, he will leave the body and exist between heaven and earth in his true colors, so that the yogi can feel everything in the world in the state of being really like this living body before his death, and his wisdom will be enlightened. After enlightenment, it shows that he has achieved positive results and become a Buddha.
