These difficulties and obstacles are only literally understood, and people are already afraid, let alone fighting against them? However, the shipping of Xilin River has never stopped since ancient times. During the Republic of China, because of the inconvenient land transportation, Xilin River was still the traffic artery of Longmen County. It was not until 1980s that Xilin River shipping was replaced by increasingly developed land transportation. The days when Xilin River was besieged on all sides are finally gone forever.
There are historical books that accurately record the scene of Longmen sailors sailing on Xilin River. There used to be a snail beach under Longhua Town, with a narrow spiral passage and an I-shaped beach behind it. After the work beach, it is the famous Tiger Jumping Beach. Suddenly there was a surge of water, and a huge stone stood out in the middle and left of the river bank, forming two portals with a width of only one foot, and the water level difference between the portals was three or four feet. When the boat passes here, the boatman will upset the boat if he makes a mistake. Therefore, at this time, the boatmen are in fear, while the passengers prefer to go ashore and walk. After crossing the steep Tiger Leaping Pool, we have to pass through a narrow and steep waterway. There are many reefs in this riverbed, and bamboo and rafts often scatter when passing by. Only after the last level, the downlink channel will be much safer. Therefore, in the history of Dongjiang shipping, there is a saying that "Longmen sailors are good". In my eyes, the price of this "honor" is somewhat helpless.
Today, the shipping history of Xilin River has long since ended. However, in the tourist area of Xiangxi Castle in Shajing, you can still appreciate the amorous feelings of drifting on Xilin River.
