What industry is better to study now?

Employment prospect of e-commerce major

Generally speaking, the "new economy" based on the Internet has created a large number of new jobs for the society, many of which were not available before, such as network management, network editing, website designers, network security engineers, system engineers, animation designers, database administrators, network application development engineers and online game designers. Many jobs have distinctive network characteristics, such as network business analyst, network product manager, network product channel specialist, website operation, promotion, customer service staff and so on. At the same time, like traditional enterprises, the human resources, finance, administration and other departments of network companies also need to attract a large number of outstanding talents. Generally speaking, the Internet is undoubtedly a sunrise industry, with a history of only ten years at home and abroad and a bright future.

E-commerce is an important application of Internet in business. In recent years, the online transaction volume has continued to increase, which shows that the demand for jobs has increased. Established companies such as Alibaba, HC and Dangdang have been recruiting people. Since last year, there has been a new wave of Internet craze. Many internet companies are rapidly expanding and need people after getting a lot of "venture capital" funds. The demand for talents from the Internet and e-commerce continues to heat up, which can be seen from the positions posted on major recruitment websites.

Now the industry is indeed prosperous, but this does not mean that "e-commerce graduates" will inevitably become sought-after talents. Internet companies and e-commerce enterprises need all kinds of talents: technology, products, marketing, sales, customer service, administration, finance, human resources and so on. E-commerce graduates can't get jobs without specific functional departments of enterprises and specific positions. Personally, the problem of "what is the employment prospect" needs case analysis, which is closely related to the university's own brand, professional education direction, personal comprehensive ability, employment area, personal skills and job hunting luck.

What are the employment prospects? Personally, I can't say a word clearly.

First of all, forget that you are a graduate of e-commerce and consider yourself a graduate of marketing. If the personnel department questions it, you say it's the marketing direction. Which e-commerce major has no business courses in marketing and network marketing? E-commerce students who graduated from real marketing have inherent advantages in the use of the Internet, but their shortcomings may be their understanding of consumer psychology and consumer behavior, and such books abound, so it is enough to read one casually. And there are too many jobs related to marketing, such as sales, customer service, promotion, public relations and business.

Secondly, you can go to foreign trade after your English level, which can be called the direction of international e-commerce. If you haven't taken a course in foreign trade practice, you can call it an elective course or an audit. I just need to make up for the interview secretly.

Three, technology through the test, familiar with software and hardware, master a development technology, you can apply for the corresponding technical positions. Or go to the IT and Internet industries to apply for sales and services, which requires an understanding of technology, which is not something that ordinary marketing students can do at once.

Fourthly, girls can consider applying for administrative posts, such as clerks, secretaries and assistants. Students majoring in e-commerce are more competitive because they are more adaptable to office automation and informatization. You don't have to be a secretary major.

Fifth, start your own business and look at your personal situation. It's too easy to open a shop online now. As long as you have something to sell, you can try it. You don't have to register with the industrial and commercial department first, as in the traditional way. No taxes, no rent. It's really easy to be an online merchant.

The key to the problem is to find the right position to enter the company and experience what the business is like and what the enterprise is like. No matter what position, only when your performance in the company proves that students majoring in e-commerce do have advantages and differences compared with students majoring in other majors, will enterprises and the whole job market gradually form a good impression on students majoring in e-commerce. Otherwise, it will be more difficult for the latter e-commerce students to find jobs.

In fact, any major is a shell, and the process of learning is to cultivate people's ability and quality. If your comprehensive quality is sufficient, I believe that the enterprise will have a discerning eye and know the pearl. What I am most afraid of is that I can't do anything, but my mentality is still learning a hot major. Then you are hurting yourself.
