2. The Shanghai Planetarium is located in Dishui Lake, Nanhui New Town, Pudong New Area, China, with a planned total land area of 5.86 hectares. Architectural modeling is based on the spiral motion of celestial bodies under the action of gravity, and symbolic three-body building components are selected, which can also play the role of a large-scale architectural clock. The planetarium has four floors, including three floors above ground and 1 floor underground. It is an important large-scale popular science venue built by the Shanghai Municipal Government during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. Shanghai Planetarium will use a variety of high-tech display technologies to create a high-precision starry sky simulation and an immersive universe roaming scene. It can also actually observe the sun and many stars through solar towers and large astronomical telescopes.
