What ability does it take to do PPT well?

In my opinion, making a PPT is just like making a movie, which requires various abilities such as screenwriter, producer, director and editor.

1, screenwriter ability: content combing ability

The first step in making PPT is to write a script, that is, to sort out the content. Whether a movie is good or not, the script is the foundation and plays a decisive role. Similarly, it is futile for PPT to be fancy and gorgeous, and the content is not good. Therefore, content integration and logical combing are the most important parts.

In this step, I recommend using mind mapping tools or "curtain" software, which can help us to sort out our thoughts quickly.

2. Production capacity: material collection capacity

After sorting out the content of the script, we turned to producers and looked for actors and props. Putting it on PPT is to collect pictures, icons, fonts and other materials.

A good producer must have a strong resource reserve. Similarly, the production of PPT should also establish its own material library, and develop the habit of accumulating materials at ordinary times, so as to make PPT easily.

3. Directing ability: visual expression ability.

The success of a film depends largely on the director's ability. The director should determine the overall style of the film, arrange lighting, art and props, and guide the actors to perform. When doing PPT, we were also directors. To determine the overall style, design layout and application materials of PPT. The final presentation effect of PPT is inseparable from design and visual expression ability.

4. Post ability: software operation ability.

In fact, before this step, we don't need to open PowerPoint software. Only when the content is sorted out, the material is found and the style is determined, we need to open the PPT software and present all the ideas. Software operation ability is the output of the last step, just like post-editing.

5. Speech ability: speech expression ability.

If it is a lecture PPT, then there is a final step, which is also a crucial step, that is, to show PPT to the audience. Sometimes PPT is beautifully done, but the speaker can't do it, and the final effect will be greatly reduced. This is the same as the announcement when the film was released. This announcement will be the icing on the cake.

Doing a good set of PPT is definitely not an easy task, and it requires various skills. A good PPT must be a generalist.
