Weifang Xinhua Middle School was founded in 1998. In August 2000, Weifang No.15 Middle School was cancelled. All the students were admitted to Xinhua Middle School, and some faculty members were diverted to Xinhua Middle School. The former staff dormitory of Weifang Third Vocational College and Weifang Grain Cadre School were placed under the management of Xinhua Middle School.
