Henan University is located in Kaifeng, a famous historical and cultural city and the ancient capital of the Eight Dynasties. It used to be the seat of Henan Gongyuan. The last two national examinations were held in 1903 and 1904, and the imperial examination system for thousands of years came to an end. 19 12, a group of Henan benevolent sages, represented by Lin, founded the Henan Preparatory School for Studying in Europe and America at the dawn of the victory of the Revolution of 1911, which became one of the three major training bases for studying abroad in China at that time.
After the stages of Zhongzhou University, the 5th National Sun Yat-sen University and the provincial Henan University, it was changed into the National Henan University on 1942 and became a comprehensive university with six colleges of arts, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine and law. It was one of the national universities with strong academic strength at that time and enjoyed a high reputation at home and abroad.
