The reason why Luoyang bridge is famous

Luoyang Bridge is located in an important position, just like Quanzhou goes north to Fuzhou, passes through Jiangxi and Hubei, and reaches the official road of Bianjing (now Kaifeng). Without this bridge, Quanzhou people have only two ways to go north. One is to take the mountain road, go out from the north of the city, enter Xianyou through the river market, and climb mountains and mountains.

The second way is to cross the river, but this place is at the mouth of the river. "The water is five miles wide and the waves are rolling." In the face of strong winds and tides, capsizing is common. From the point of view that this ferry is called "Wan 'an Ferry", we can see people's palpitations and yearning for peace at that time.

In addition, its fame is related to Cai Xiang. There were four great calligraphers in Song Dynasty: Su, Huang, Mi and Cai, and "Cai" was Cai Xiang. In many records, it is recorded that Cai Xiang is the initiator of Luoyang Bridge, but it is not.

The construction time of Luoyang Bridge was from 1053 to 1059, while Cai Xiang took office in Quanzhou for the first time in 1056, and moved to Fuzhou five months later, while the governor of Cai Xiang was all in 1058, only/kloc-0 away from the completion of Luoyang Bridge.
