Sifang district is located in the southwest of Shandong Peninsula and in the middle of Qingdao, with a geographical location of120 22' east longitude and 36 06' north latitude. It borders Laoshan District and Shibei District in the east, Jiaozhou Bay in the west, Shibei District in the south and Licang District in the north. The coastline of the whole region is 7 kilometers long with a total area of 34.55 square kilometers.

Sifang district is high in the east and low in the west, high in the middle and low in the north and south. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and the sea on the west. The terrain is uneven and the administrative area is irregular rectangle.

There are 9 rivers in the area, including Shuiqinggou River, Hangzhou Road River, Zhengzhou Road River, Xiaocun River, Haibo River, Licun River and Zhang Cun River, with a total flow of 42 kilometers, all of which are seasonal rivers. Among them, Zhang Cun River, Licun River and Haibo River are the main rivers, all of which flow into Jiaozhou Bay.

The water resources in this area mainly come from Laoshan Reservoir. Urban well groups, Dagu River, Jihongtan Reservoir, etc.

There are three main types of soil, brown soil is mainly distributed in the original eastern villages, tidal soil and saline soil are mainly distributed in the western coastal areas.

The total land area is 3458.46 hectares, including 630.438+0 hectares for residential use and 874.88 hectares for industrial use. The water used in this area mainly comes from Laoshan Reservoir, Jihongtan Reservoir, Dagu River water source and urban wells. The beaches on the west coast are rich in shellfish. There are natural forests and artificial forests in the eastern hills, Beiling Mountain and Jiading Mountain.
