The appearance of Zhiyuan Ship originated from which modern expedition in China?

The cruiser Zhiyuan was an exploration of Li Hongzhang, the minister of Beiyang in the late Qing Dynasty, on the road of modern navy.

Zhiyuan 1886 was launched at Armstrong Shipyard in England. 1September, 987, the Qing Dynasty sent the sailors directly to the ocean to serve in the Beiyang Navy. On the Sino-Japanese Sino-Japanese War of 18941September, 894 17, the Zhiyuan ship ran out of shells, and the pipeline commander Deng Shichang crashed into the Japanese fleet Yoshino. As a result, it was hit by a Japanese torpedo and sank halfway.

From 1938 to 1939, the Japanese imperialists at that time salvaged and dismantled four sunken ships of Beiyang Navy, including Zhiyuan Ship, which caused serious damage to these sunken ships.
