Construction of power and liquefied gas supply centers. Meizhou Bay Thermal Power Plant 1 Unit has been connected to the grid to generate electricity, and Unit 2 will generate electricity soon. The second phase of the plant will use liquefied gas as fuel, creating favorable conditions for expanding the supply market of liquefied gas.
These three bases are, first, to build a petrochemical production base. We should work closely with Nan 'an to build supporting enterprises in the middle and lower reaches of petrochemical base. Enterprises run well and are the main force that cannot be ignored in economic development. The north shore of Meizhou Bay is the hometown of Mazu, the goddess of the sea, and also an important ancestral home of Taiwan Province compatriots. There are frequent exchanges with Taiwan Province, and Taiwanese businessmen are enthusiastic about investing. Xiuyu Port and Wen Jia Fishing Port are approved by the state as berthing points for Taiwan Province ships and small-scale trade points with Taiwan, which have great economic and trade potential with Taiwan.
Scientifically plan and build a new port city, and do a good job in the construction of new villages under the premise of scientific planning. The overall planning of urban construction in Putian is group-based. According to the planning of seven groups, four of them are located on the north bank of Meizhou Bay. The city of the future is bound to move towards the port. Therefore, while building Xiuyu Port, the North Shore will conscientiously follow the port city planning, do a good job in the construction of municipal centers, and promote the pace of small towns. The municipal center started construction in June 2000 and was developed in two phases.
